What do you mean by a full text query? Requesting full text (i.e. the equivalent of "find available PDF") or sending full text (i.e. the equivalent of retrieve PDF metadata)? Neither is possible with any Zotero server infrastructure by itself - bot…

The relevant documentation is here, though it's admittedly rather sparse: https://www.zotero.org/support/groups#interact_with_groups_through_the_zotero_client If that doesn't help you, please start a new thread (red "Start a New Discussion" button a…

Basically, we're wondering why you'd get the captcha in the first place-- if you're usuing google scholar so heavily and so quickly that you get the captcha, Google Scholar is essentially telling you to slow down. You can work around that - delete …

Depends on the definition of "share" -- share as in just give it to someone else? Sure you can use export/import or even option A here: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/transferring_a_library If by share you mean "jointly use at the same time" the…

I'm generally happy to consolidate Anglia Ruskin and Harvard 1. One problem with this is that Harvard 1 is still a default style in many reference managers (a problem going back to 2008 or so) and so this might be a little tricky, and we'll need to …

Yes, it's a Word weirdness in how it interprets formatted items on the Clipboard. If you select "Save as RTF" in the Create Bibliography option and then open the file it'll look right (and that you should be able to copy, I believe). Will also wor…

This sounds like you might be using the webpage? Or what do you mean by upload feature? Drag&Drop only works in the Zotero software, not online. If drag&drop doesn't work, you've tried "Store Copy of File" under the green + sign?
-
yes, sorry about it, will fix this weekend.

When you right-click on the PDF, do you not have the "Retrieve Metadata for PDF" option?
-
are you using the scholar citation add-on? That might be causing this. Disable it.
-
It's at the bottom right of Group Settings, below "Delete Group"
-
@fcheslack - I agree btw. that sorting by author is a more natural default - any reason against that?
-
thanks, added here: http://www.zotero.org/support/known_issues?&#incompatible_extensions_and_applications

You can transfer ownership to any member of the group on the bottom right of the group settings here on the webpage (i.e. click on groups up top, then on the group in question, then on "group settings" towards the top left)
-
- Go to the group settings page here on zotero.org - click on "Library Settings" - Set "Library Editing" and "File Editing" to "Any Member"
-
and under "Library Settings"? It's possible to only allow admins to edit the library.

start a group. http://www.zotero.org/support/groups Then under https://www.zotero.org/groups/

David - that's different. You can't currently create these URLs from the Zotero client, but you can right click the attachment online at zotero.org and "Copy link location" to get a URL that everyone with access to the citation (i.e. this would nee…

we recommend "report" for working papers. That's what e.g. SSRN or NBER working papers save as and that's also what citation styles assume. (in general I wouldn't recommend using document).
-
http://www.zotero.org/support/styles#zotero_style_repository re-install the style, not Zotero.
-
you need to re-install the style from the repository if you didn't already (the updated version is up). Then, try switching to a different style and back to make sure the change takes effect.

actually just confirmed that this shouldn't be the case: http://blog.apastyle.org/apastyle/2011/02/books-and-book-chapters-what-to-cite.html Author, A. A. (Year). Title of chapter. In B. B. Editor (Ed.), Title of book (pp. xxx–xxx). Location: Pu…

You're not doing anything wrong. We're currently doing this on purpose and there is a note in the style file that title case is required by APA for Book Titles when citing a chapter from a book - I'm on the road, could someone confirm with the man…

is it impossible because there's no "author-suppressed" variable? exactly, yes. I was just curious for what type of citation style/practice that would be useful - I've never seen that in polisci, neither in Germany nor in the US.
-
that can't be done. What's the use case more specifically?
-
I don't think you can do that, but I also don't understand why you'd want to, why is the order important?
-
This should work and does in general. Please post your style and a sample item (via Zotero.RDF export) to gist.github.com or pastebin.com so we can take a look.

I have a US version of Firefox and MS Word installed, and it is the case that the comma/period are placed outside the quotes. it's not in a working and up to date version. Re-install the Chicago style from the repository (zotero.org/styles). If th…

Do you know of any way I could recreate the Zotero database (at least in part) using information within the Word document? That's unfortunately not possible at this time, though it might be in the future.
