The way the author name is rendered is likely correct according to the style you have chosen. Author names with particles (in your case, 'de') may be 'dropping' or 'non-dropping'. The 'de' particle 'should' be dropped in an alphabetical list. Much d…

I'm going beyond my level of experience here but the only difference between your and my system seems to be that you are using a dark mode. And I'm using an iPad. Might that be related to this problem?

When you say "Send To" icon, do you mean the Share button (square with up-pointing arrow)? I'm not being pedantic I just want to be sure that we are conversing about the same thing. When I use the Share / Zotero / Save to Zotero I get a Zotero boo…

A few minutes ago I downloaded and imported an nbib file with 100+ records. Mid-morning (California time) today I downloaded and imported nbib with 80 records. The PubMed site was working fine for me on a residential cable connection. Are you doi…

GS will provide a link to the item on a publisher's website. Follow that link and use the import to Zotero icon in your browser toolbar. If GS does not link to the publisher and (for example) only links to a site like PEP-WEB, then you will need to …

In my experience, what comes through with the publisher RSS feed is _not_ the metadata that Zotero captures when the items are moved from the feed view into a Zotero collection. As @dstillman said above, metadata from moving a feed item is almost al…

Rather than copying directly from Google Scholar, you will almost always receive more accurate and complete metadata after clicking through to the article on the publisher's website and using the Zotero translator to import the metadata. It is well-…

In your operating system window that contains the Zotero program there will be the usual dropdown menus: Zotero/ File / Edit / View / Tools / Window / HELP. The menu titles and sequence I listed above are for Mac OS (I don't have Windows or Linux a…

For my work this seems to happen with single-journal publishers such as professional organizations from Asia. The other time this happens is when there is no metadata available and I, to facilitate hand-entry, copy and paste author names from the …

I was commenting on the now resolved issue concerning PubMed Central. I don't normally download PDF files when I download the metadata (even when I have free access to the full text file).

What you place in the abstract fields of your own Zotero records should be what best serves your own needs. Both within my personal use of Zotero and with the online academic bibliographic database that I curate; these "bullet point" key concepts …

This is a static document, a journal article (perhaps actually an editorial). Unlike other website material, the volume, issue, pagination and year provide all that is necessary to find the (exact and unchanging) resource. Excepting cases where the …

Book "section" vs chapter. Consider "book section" to be a generic term that includes "book chapters" and similar edited documents that have section authors. Thus, book section type will also include the preface, introduction, foreword, and similar …

Please provide all of the information below to enable someone to help you. By providing the exact information in the exact detail someone may be able to make minor changes to an existing style and thus, help you quickly. From Zotero user guide: If…

Please don't take this as my being rude or judgmental but you would derive great benefit from spending 15 minutes or so reading descriptions of each of these identifiers. edit: you can find this info about each identifier on Wikipedia. Often, when …

If you are in a hurry: Try importing the file while Zotero is open rather than open-with. [File : Import] Several times a month I import nbib files containing 400 or more records. edit: (On days that both Frontiers and MDPI have released their a…

@antran215 CSL stands for Citation Style Language. See: https://www.zotero.org/support/styles https://citationstyles.org/ Zotero and several other similar programs use CSL to format what is in your Zotero library database into bibliographic sty…

What style? Do you have names for composer / lyricist in Zotero?

Lots of missing information in your question: What bibliographic style are you using where the URL appears in-text? In what way does Zotero not create the reference in the "correct way"? Details please. How did you use Zotero to bring the webpag…

Just to be absolutely certain: Are you sure that the requirement is to include the URL in the text body of the manuscript for each citation? I read (or glance through) 30 to 40 Portuguese language articles each week that are published in many profes…

I'll give this a shove to kickstart more details from the experts here. The problem I have is that, ePubs are presented differently in different styles. Thus, to facilitate proper style formatting, what metadata is placed (or not placed) in Zotero f…

@IvanFerrero No personal bibliography management software does what you want. There are open-access thesauri on many scientific and social academic topics that you can apply for your own use. You can view these to assist you with assigning Zotero t…

As an aside: Some SpringerNature journals' metadata (and RIS exports) do not contain the full abstract but only the Introduction or Background section. I've been in touch with two of the HSN A&I staff about this new issue. The same thin-summary …

I'm sure that it is an error on their end -- this morning I received a reply to my tech-help request acknowledging the problem and saying that they will fix it soon. In my experience, the NCBI help desk is always very responsive and almost always re…

I don't know if this will be helpful but here is what I've experienced: It has not worked for me for the entire day. It did work properly with Zotero on Tuesday. It didn't work yesterday afternoon at all (but although I'm not sure, PMC and Zotero ma…

Yes. Importing from PubMed Central has been unreliable for a couple of days. An easy temporary solution is to follow the PMID link and import directly from PubMed.

Please provide the EBSCO URL for the PsycInfo database link to that article, if your complaint is about importing from EBSCO. The metadata directly from the publisher might be different. The metadata directly from T&F doesn't include an editor.

Are you asking for article titles to be in ALL UPPER CASE? (I hope not.)

Without answering your question directly, the space seems important (if not necessary) for LO to recognize where the URL string ends when there are characters beyond the top level domain -- with TLDs being added frequently and of different lengths; …
