I'm not sure if it has anything to do with it or not, but first I'd upgrade to the most current version of Z.

Yes! And you don't want to just delete duplicates. If you delete an item that was previously cited in a document, it will break the link to your Library (even though an "exact duplicate" still exists). So, follow the instructions here: https://www…

Did you click on the addins tab?

Ah, yes. I wasn't selecting an article first.

I just checked the basic search box in Z Standalone and Z in Firefox, and clicking the x did put the focus in the box. What setup are you using? What version number of Zotero? Standalone? Firefox? With a connector? What OS? (As an aside, though, …

I'm not sure I understand your question. First, did CMOS (Full Note) work? Did it put the footnote at the bottom of the page? Are you wanting a different style (Other than CMOS) that puts the the citation in a footnote? ... There are others, but I…

You appear to be using an intext style. Try changing to a different one, such as Chicago Manual of Style (full note).

In the long-shot department: Any chance you are using Firefox and added a new extension in that half hour?

If you didn't get a warning, you probably just removed it from a collection, and it is still in your library. If you really did delete it from your library, you can recover it from the trash.

It's not really clear from your description what issue you are having, but follow these two links and see they help. https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/no_status_bar_icon https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/no_address_bar_icon First, though, reboot …

I'm not sure on the first question. You could create a small collection and sub-collection and check it out. On the second, check out the page on Hidden Preferences:: http://www.zotero.org/support/preferences/hidden_preferences Look down to where…

I'm not sure why it jumps to bibliography, but when it does, pressing shift-f5 should take you back to the place you most recently edited.
-
ok, If i sort by _?sort=itemType_ it's fine. All is well.

You can just hit "Enter" instead of clicking on it.

In the general preference pane (gear icon/preferences/general) there is an option for note font size.
-
Did you empty the [Zotero] trash as Dan suggested?

Select a pdf in the middle pane. In the right-hand pane your will see data regarding that pdf, including Filename, Modified, Indexed, Related, and finally Tags. If there are no tags added to that file, then you will see [click here] next to Tags…

I don't understand why you need to do a screen print. Why not either create a bibliography, or a report?

People sometimes people don't understand how it works, and do some strange things, thinking it's correct. Since this is your first paper, I just wanted to confirm the obvious. :) Don't forget to answer adamsmith's question regarding the exact err…

How exactly are you entering a citation? Can you describe your process step by step?
