That worked. Inserting a new bibliography seemed to re-establish the link to Zotero. All set now.
-
Great. Thanks.

I am using Note, not author-date and my institution insists on Turabian, even though it is based on CMS. Which link of yours are you referring to? Thanks.
-
I use Turabian, per my institution's request. It does not auto-sort as far as I can tell. Does Chicago Manual auto-sort?
-
Ok. I'll search for the thread. Thanks.
-
Didn't work. If I leave the Date field empty and put the date info. in the issue field, the note comes up with "n.d." Plus, it automatically puts "no." in front of whatever is in the issue field. I'm using Turabian setting. Any other suggestion…
-
Great. I will try that.
-
Yes, that's the editor window I am talking about. What is the solution? Is it possible to make it bigger? I need to add italics to certain words and can only do it in the editor.
-
Thanks, all. Will familiarize with all info. on support/sync. Will try to install Firefox without admin. rights. Will talk to IT dept.--good point re: it being a service dept.
-
Thanks. I'll try option 1. I gave her my Zotero login information, but can't give her my computer login info. I managed to get our IT dept. to allow me to install Firefox on my computer (so I could use Zotero), so I'll ask them to allow it for one o…

Excellent. I'm going with Turabian full note. Will report back with any problems.
-
No, they didn't find any faults. They just suggested that I make the change, since Turabian is the official style that we are supposed to use and because Zotero now offers it. Do you think it is safer for any reason to stick with CMS full note?…

I posed the following question to our graduate research librarian in art history: Is it necessary for us to include series information for books? Her response: According to section 17.1.5 Series (p. 172-3) in the 7th ed of Turabian you are…
-
My program wants us to follow Turabian. Turabian 17.1.5 says you are not required to include information about the series.
-
Thanks.
-
Ok. Will do. Many thanks.
-
Ok. Does Turabian follow CMS on this one? No date required for Turabian, either?
-
Ok. Thank you.
-
Thanks. I didn't know Turabian was an option. I will check with my department.
-
I'm sure someone more technologically advanced will be able to help you. Glad to know someone else is bothered by the "extra" field. My junk info. was coming in from Worldcat. I'm going to stop importing from Worldcat altogether because of this prob…

Yes, I've done Advanced search for "Access". I just emptied my trash from my home computer and will do so from the work computer tomorrow morning. I hope that does the trick. I don't think I'm advanced enough to try the SQLite editor. Thanks so…
-
Thanks. I'll find a way to stick with Proquest.
-
Thanks. I think I have access to LexisNexis Academic, so I'll try that one before doing any more manual entries.
-
I'll double check with my school, but my field is art history and the series information is superfluous and messing up my entries. So far I've been going with the manual removal.
-
Many thanks.

The icon stopped spinning but now I have the same error code again: 'Extra' field value 'Access: http://www.loc.gov/catdir/bios/ucal051/910...' too long Do I need to search for that code all over again? I never found it the first time.
-
The error code is gone, but the sync icon is still spinning. It's been hours.
-
My sync is taking forever, too. Hours on end.
-
Okay. Just emptied the trash--thanks for that tip. Now it is syncing w/server and keeps spinning forever, but no error code. This is on my home computer. I assume it will be the same on my work computer, because as you have explained, the data lives…

I don't have any group libraries. I'm searching for all parts of that error code in the Extra field and then deleting the data in that field. Should I delete the entire entry? Still getting error code after all these deletions.
