I am getting this message : "you must insert a citation before performing this operation" when I try to insert bibliography through zotero plugin in Microsoft word (part of office 365).

Hi, I can't get Zotero to work on MS Word (Office 365). The Zotero tab is present, but when clicking on 'Add/Edit Citation' or any other button, a popup error comes up:

If it's helpful, I'm using Office Version 2110, build 14527.20234 (Office 365 business desktop apps)

Some precisions: I am working on macOC Big Sur and with 365 Office. I tried to uninstall Zotero and reinstall it, to remove the styles in my word document (to erase to format), but it didn't help.

@JGebauer: Can you take a screenshot of the error you're seeing, upload it somewhere (e.g., Dropbox or Google Drive), and provide a link here? Nothing should be in Documents in an Office 365 installat

To be honest I have never had to locate this folder before when I installed Zotero on Macs, is there something weird about her Word installation (Office 365)?

After updating my Office 2019 to Microsoft 365, Zotero stopped working. I get the following message: "Zotero experienced an error updating his document."

Assuming you're running Word 2019 or Office 365, you specifically should not be running Word under Rosetta. Zotero is fully compatible with Word running natively on M1 Macs.
