https://www.zotero.org/support/forum_guidelines#be_patient It's only been four days, and we are looking into it.

If citation_author has one comma and there's only one listed institution and ORCID, we might be able to assume that it's a single author. But we're really getting into the weeds here, and for every couple articles that that heuristic fixes, it could…

Restart in Troubleshooting Mode (Help -> "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode...”), which temporarily disables all plugins. Remove the feed completely and add it again. If that fixes it, you'll need to figure out which plugin is responsible and repor…

@iagogv: That author name, and some others like it, should now save correctly.

Omaka doesn't currently expose its RDF in the format that Zotero looks for. A lot of Omeka metadata wouldn't really map cleanly onto Zotero item types; some pages contain multiple items, which our generic translators can't yet support. It's possible…

See https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues. Follow the troubleshooting steps there, and if it's still broken, follow the instructions under step 14 to submit a Debug ID and post it here.

Thanks, fixed. Your Zotero Connector should auto-update within a few minutes, or you can update translators manually from the Advanced pane of the Zotero settings.
-
@jalonso-regalado: As https://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data#restoring_from_the_last_automatic_backup says, though, make a new backup of all the zotero.sqlite.bak files first.
-
Rename zotero.sqlite to something else, and rename either zotero.sqlite.bak (March 28) or zotero.sqlite.1.bak (March 15) to zotero.sqlite.
-
An upcoming Zotero 7.1 beta release will support typesetting equations in EPUBs.

Zotero gets pretty good metadata on that page. Just need to change the item type from Webpage to Report and do a bit of title cleanup. After you save the main item, you can open the PDF in your browser and drag its URL onto the item that was just cr…
-
@iagogv: That page has COinS metadata that gets prioritized over Embedded Metadata (for mostly historical reasons). Right-click the Zotero Connector toolbar button -> Save to Zotero -> Embedded Metadata.
-
You should be able to drag items from Zotero directly into an email. That won't work for some email clients, though; if you have issues, first drag the items into File Explorer (Windows/Linux) or Finder (macOS), then from there into an email. If yo…

You're getting a 403 (Forbidden) error. First try clearing your cookies on Wiley. Open Firefox Settings, search for "cookies", click "Manage Data...", search for "wiley", remove. If it still doesn't work, you might be getting blocked due to automa…

Can you submit a Connector Debug ID?

Why Zotero can only translate JSON, but not XML. Wouldn't be this a feature to be improved in Zotero if Datacite XML is as valid as Datacite JSON? Because we haven't needed Datacite XML for anything in the past. I took a look at what would be involv…

@x0rc1st: Zotero also supports importing bookmarks files (in the "Netscape bookmarks.html" format that all major browsers still export). Each bookmark is imported as a webpage item. No snapshots, though.

It’s the leftmost icon in the center toolbar. The one that looks like a document with a plus. No longer green, but still there.

Colored tags sound like what you're looking for.
-
Zotero makes HTTP "HEAD" requests to figure out what the new attachment's file type will be. That site is sending it through an infinite redirect loop, so it eventually gives up. Probably a misconfiguration on the server side.
-
Could you submit a Debug ID from the client as well?
-
If you have a backup of your disk from that time, then you can restore a zotero.sqlite(.bak) file from that. But otherwise, no, all the backups that Zotero has kept are visible in your data directory.
-
Not currently, but this is planned.

I need core XPCOM functions—namely addAnnotation, selectContent, findText, and searchAnnotations—to attach notes and to locate or highlight specific passages, but the current API doesn’t expose them. Where are you getting those function names from? …

The URL field is included in citations, and a URL should generally be cited only when it points to a full-text source for the item. The URL of a catalog page (as in your K10plus example) wouldn't belong in a citation. If you want to keep track of a…

There's no issue with switching back and forth between the beta and the release version. Use the ZIP instead of the installer if you don't want it to overwrite your main install.

Can you post a screenshot showing the issue?

A manual "mark items as different" action is planned. We already hash attachment content to decide whether to merge PDFs, but that wouldn't help when the potential duplicates don't have any attachments, and running it on every single duplicate set w…

Nothing has changed about this between Zotero 6 (your screenshot) and 7 (the latest version). RIS is inherently lossy. Zotero RDF is close to lossless, but your best option of all would be to collaborate in a group library instead of sending files b…
