Is that really the email Zotero sends? adamsmith is correct, of course, but the email may easily be interpreted as if Zotero deletes your files. And the linked terms of service is a dead link. Also, an account without a storage payment is still func…

That's not expected. Zotero in Word may get slow when updating very large documents (that one is not large), but does not make Word slow or prevent from saving if it is not in the process of updating, in my experience. Have you tried removing the W…

Zotero definitely works on Macs, including new arm-based models. The developers have stated that they mostly develop on Macs, actually. The only significant issue is slow-ish plugin in very large Word files, I believe. But it is not clear what is n…

If your chromebook has an intel processor, Zotero desktop app runs on it: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/installing_on_a_chromebook It's just the ARM chromebooks you'll have a problem with.

Collections and item data do not count towards your quota. There is no need to delete them. Only attached files (like a pdf file, or an image you inserted inside a note) count towards your quota. And all your collections and data sync fine even if y…

For preprint, it's almost there. The [Accessed 6 March 2024] at the end should be (Accessed 6 March 2024). Dataset and Preprint have the Available from switched. Preprint should have just , and instead Dataset should have Available from . Last poi…

@damnation I appreciate all the work you do. I was hoping to find the time and open a PR myself, but that's clearly wishful thinking. A common issue to all item types: Make it a full stop/period after year. "(2024), URL or access or deposit date" s…
-
Thank you, @damnation. The issue with the first comma is resolved. There are other issues with other publication types, especially preprints, but those are for another day.
-
One more issue: There should not be a comma before date, and the comma after the date should be a period: M. J. McCoy, A. Z. Fire, Parallel gene size and isoform expansion of ancient neuronal genes. Curr Biol, S0960-9822(24)00163–5, (2024), https:/…

Until an "update of item data" function arrives, this is also what I use merging for. I would also love to have the newer item to be the default source of metadata for the merged item. I can't think of a general use case where the current default ma…

@poettli Nice catch! Thank you.

Thank you, damnation. I can confirm that this works well in Word now. There was one thing odd, though. When I created bibliography by copying to clipboard, a link was added only to the DOI prefix+suffix but not the resolver. This is not the case fo…

(what's in Extra would matter, of course, if "Pages" or "Volume" are in Extra.)
-
I don't think this is about having the Extra empty. When volume numbers are missing, with or without anything in Extra, I do not get DOI if page numbers are present. This is not uncommon with early publications, where the volume is not set but some …

There is probably an incompletely deleted Word field, which is how Zotero stores your citation information. By toggling field codes (you can google how to do that) and searching specifically for information within that citation 13, you should be abl…

If you have an intel-based Chromebook, not ARM, the instructions to install Zotero are here: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/installing_on_a_chromebook

Thank you. I can confirm that I am not seeing this issue in beta 67.

All data (plus text in your notes) syncs for free, so you don't lose that even without a storage subscription. The attachment files (and images in notes) won't be stored beyond the 300 MB limit on Zotero's servers, but any computer you have synced …

Steps to reproduce: 1. Delete a pdf attachment from an item. The pdf icon next to the item description stays. 2. Empty trash. The icon disappears. Here is a video: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/ctzncwi8yk9xgkh01iipn/Deleted-Attachment-Icon.mov?rl…

One related (very minor) issue remains. Upon deletion of a PDF attachment, the PDF icon on the right side does not disappear, unless you restart Zotero or delete the PDF from the Trash.
-
This appears to be no longer a problem in beta.64. Thanks if this was fixed.
-
@gustms Thanks for confirming. That's my plan, too, but I wanted to report before I clear this issue.
-
Just realized that this can also happen as I quickly scroll through my library, and one of the items do not show an attachment icon, which then turns to a non-descript document icon and not the pdf icon. And stays that way. In Zotero 6, the items mi…

That figure displays fine in Zotero 7 beta, which has an updated pdf viewer. If you can install the beta (some plugins are not updated and it is still a beta), that will likely solve your problems.
-
This appears to be fixed now (sometime at or before 1.0.0-47). Thanks!

This appears to be fixed in beta57. Thanks!

That's not the Accessed field that citations/bibliography may use. That's when you added the item to Zotero and the last time you modified the item. That was not editable. The Accessed field (Accedido) is here, and it is editable: https://s3.amazon…

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citation_Style_Language In Word, if you choose toggle field code for a citation, you could see the underlying csl fields as inserted by Zotero or Mendeley. Not sure how that works in LibreOffice.

Maybe I misunderstood your sequence of events, but one uses "Add Bibliography" where you want the bibliography inserted. If you want the bibliography at the end, you click at the end of you document, and then click Add/Edit Bibliography. Once you a…

Try restarting the app. The update might have been downloaded and be ready to install upon restart. In that case, Zotero used to have a habit of not showing the update (at least on Macs; may or may not have been fixed).
