The primary reason for the arrow pointing to the location bar on the start page is that I still frequently run into people who have been using Zotero for months but who have not ever used the icon in the location bar. There are still a number of new…

If you go that route nothing would happen if a source was updated in Zotero. Once you export to Endnote you would manage those references in Endnote. Do keep in mind that exporting to Endnote will involve data loss. RIS is not a particularly robust …

You can't edit the link on an attached link to a page. With that said, you can edit the URL field for items. Also note that you can click "URL:" in the info tab to jump to the page.

I am not entirely sure how this sort of thing would happen. Are you sure their weren't multiple copies of the items in question with different tags? Also are you looking at the items in your personal library or the copies of the items in the group l…

There is not much public information about work on the Zotero website. With that said, the eventual plans for interacting with Zotero libraries through the website will, more or less, fit the need you are describing.

What you just described should work. If you open up one of the problematic RIS files you should be able to check the first line of each entry. You want it to say TY - PAMP if you are getting webpages it probably looks like TY - ELECYou can eithe…

This is a common problem, and it would be ideal if some of these fields were added to the RIS spec. Zotero adheres to that spec. We don't want to bake a bunck of hacks into the software. However, with a text editor and a few minutes of messing aro…

Oh ERIC, always misbehaving! I still haven't had any trouble with importing from it, so I am baffled about this one. Thanks for this note ProjGeekette. Zotero's ability to intercept RIS files is a great feature, one that I am sure most users are u…

You can get a sense for what Zotero's field mappings look like for RIS here. (This doc is not regularly updated, but I don't think there are any major differences with RIS since this was created) http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/field_mappings The …

I know that an earlier version of Zotero was approved and installed on computers at the Library of Congress, but I am not sure if they have gone through the process of updating it. In their case, they simply approved the individual Zotero applicatio…

What is providing your WebDav storage?

Retrieve PDF Metadata is for getting the metadata for a full text PDF of an article, not for extracting a list of references from a PDF. If you want to import and export metadata from Zotero use Zotero's export functions. Zotero RDF is generally t…

I'm slightly confused about exactly what is going on in your message. Are you trying to change the collections pane's width or are you trying to alter the height of your entire Zotero pane? If you are trying the latter, try closing or shrinking the …

It is an internal item ID local to your personal library. It is not a field you can edit.

Issue confirmed and ticket created. https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/1676

Thanks for sharing! It seems like you have a solid approach for organizing your library. Here are a few things you might consider. Based on the video, it looks like you are using tags and collections to store redundant information. In my experienc…

We have yet to announce the next workshop. It will most likely be at GMU in Fairfax VA later in the fall.

If you are having trouble with those you can always use this Zotero intro screencast from youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLi3ZhUQDhs or some of the newer screencasts we are developing which are up on Vimeo http://vimeo.com/user3480056/videos

What are your library settings for the group? Do you have library editing set for admins or for members? You can find your library settings on the settings section of your group's webpage.

You are not missing anything. Searching through user and group libraries through the website has not yet been implemented. These features will come, I am not the best person to speculate on when the will, but it will come.

Thanks for reporting. Ticket created.

Please read the requesting styles documentation and provide the required additional information. Also, there is a BMC Bioinformatics style on the styles page. Does that style do what you need?

Glad to hear you like Zotero! Browsing by tags on the web view will be implemented in the future. For some technical reasons it requires a bit of work, so it won't happen tomorrow, but it will happen.

How did you attach the files? Did you drag and drop them, or did you use the paperclip icon's drop down menu? Can you tell exactly what you are doing and seeing and explain how it is different from the day before? Are the PDF icons still visible w…

As another work around you can click the "Download to Citation Manager" button. Just tell it to export to Endnote and Zotero will intercept it.

It is not exactly what you are looking for, but you can do it today and it is just about as easy. If you add Google Scholar as your default search engine you can just drag and drop any item into the search box. Zotero makes the reference, and if t…

If all you want is to stick a RSS feed on your homepage you should just make use of the RSS feeds Zotero generates on each collection and library page. If you are looking for something more involved you might consider taking a look at Jeremy Boggs…

It may take some time before your issue is resolved. For pressing deadlines I would suggest that you use some of Zotero's drag and drop bibliography creation, or the keyboard shortcuts.

You might try using tool that strips out HTML tags. There are a lot of things that can do this, for example you could try cutting and pasting the contents of the RIS file into this online HTML Tags Stripper. http://www.zubrag.com/tools/html-tags-st…

You should be able to drag and drop entire lists of items. You can select all in a given collection with Command or Control + shift + A and drop them in the group.
