@forevertheuni Multiple people can simultaneously edit a document using the Desktop Word application, so long as the document is stored in OneDrive, exactly the same way they can with Word Online. Zotero works in that scenario. With respect to Linu…

There’s no principled reason—version should probably be added here.
-
CSL 1.0.2 includes a ‘regulation’ type that might be appropriate. Support for that will be added to various styles in the coming months.
-
You can of course set your power settings on your laptop to never sleep.
-
Sweet, that would be awesome.
-
That’s not the case. Converting files from stored to link loses Zotero annotations. Annotation extraction has not generally worked at any point in My Library once the PDF reader was introduced.
-
@sdspieg If you want a hand packaging these up into an R package, let me know.

Because of bugs in Apple’s Safari extension system, you will occasionally need to reinstall Zotero to restore the connector in Safari after an upgrade. Those can’t be fixed until Apple fixes the upstream problems. If that’s a problem, you should swi…

That Frontiers article doesn’t have page numbers (which determines the “paper article” criterion). An article in Frontiers shouldn’t be cited without a DOI or URL because it’s an online only journal. Once the style is updated, it will just show the …

Is the DOI the only change the style needs?

There is a CSL treaty item type that will eventually be added to Zotero. For now, you can tell the citation processor to cite an item as a treaty by adding this to Extra: Type: treaty If the citation style is written to accommodate treaties (e.g.,…

Zotfile hasn't been updated to work with the new PDF Reader, and you should generally assume that all of its file moving and note-related functionality will be broken with it.
-
@dstillman I think they are referring to a view like the Organize Pages view in Adobe Acrobat. That would be helpful to jump quickly to a specific page (as well as to facilitate rotation of all the landscape pages if that functionality is added). h…

(You might also suggest to the journal that they remove the description of the style as AMA 9th edition.)
-
No, you’re misunderstanding. The “exact examples” is referring to the two items shown on the linked page above—the Campbell/Pedersen article and the Mares chapter. Please format those two items according to the journal’s style guide.
-
When was AMA 10th edition released?
-
(There isn’t any missing comment—sometimes the counter will include the original post due to the way the spam filtering works.)

What exactly do you mean by you “ just linked the base directory of my Zotero to the desktop Dropbox folder”? If you mean you placed the Zotero database in Dropbox, you absolutely shouldn’t do that and should take it back out immediately. Zotero …
-
It gets lost because under the hood Zotfile deletes the attachment item and makes a new one. Zotfile hasn’t been updated to accommodate the new PDF reader, and updating it would likely require a major overhaul. I would personally recommend stopping …

Zotero doesn’t use Dropbox for syncing. What exactly are you trying to do? For information on syncing, see https://Zotero.org/support/sync
-
What format are you using for import? BibTeX? RIS?
-
Note that many citation styles such as APA disambiguate citations by adding additional names before “et al”
-
Which markdown features are you specially interested in?
-
You would need to edit the style. The CSL variable is “ISBN”. General style editing instructions here: https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/citation_styles/style_editing_step-by-step
-
I suggest you upgrade to the Zotero beta, which has a new PDF annotation and note taking tool. With that, you can directly insert note contents into LO documents.
-
The style is written to include place of publisher for item types other than thesis, article-journal, article-newspaper, and article-magazine. Double check that you are actually using the correct style in your Word document by clicking the Document …
-
@damnation They just probably want to be using a numeric style in this case.
-
What I was referring to is the “Cross-Reference” button in the References tab in Word. If you click this button, you can add a reference to a previous footnote, using the same number (note that the footnote itself isn’t repeated, only the in-text nu…
-
This isn’t a bug. This is controlled by the citation style. Some styles like Chicago replace repeated authors with dashes. That’s correct for the style. What style are you using?
-
Yes, any numeric style would be good in that case
