The "Attach New File" function is not removed from ZotFile. You can still use it in Zotero 6.

The one thing I miss from ZotFile was the context menu item for attaching the newest file in Downloads. Sure, it's still possible, but it requires a bit more menu interaction + keyboard now.

I am a mac user but after I install the ad-on to zotero, I don't get the option of "extract annotations" when I control click on the pdf.

You can use Zotero storage or WebDAV by any third party provider to sync with your iPad, but you can't use PDFs linked by ZotFile and stored&synced through Dropbox, no, so what you're seeing is expect

Thank you for your reply, which is very helpful. I like to use ZotFile because it allows more flexible renaming and will rename and move my pdfs with one click. But I see now that I should be linking
