Start by redownloading Zotero from the download page and reinstalling into Applications. If that doesn't work, go to ~/Library/Caches/Zotero from Finder → Go → "Go to Folder…" and delete the "updates" folder, and then restart Zotero.
-
As I say, it's just Cloudflare blocking. A server daemon doesn't look like a real person's browser. There are no "keys".

Save from the article page, not the PDF: https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.3847/1538-4357/ade7ff Saving from the PDF will sometimes work (and does on this URL in Firefox), but the article page will be more reliable, and Zotero should automatic…
-
It did. You're using 0 MB in My Library.
-
That doesn't show you reloading the page before trying to save. And what's the full URL?
-
@maswali: You shouldn't have to populate Extra — that was just a hack before Zotero had proper fields. The above style is working for me. Make sure you're running the latest version of Zotero, and provide a Debug ID for reproducing it if you're stil…

Yeah, I get a 429 Too Many Requests (for a single request) from WorldCat from translation-server. Probably not much we can do about it, since it's just Cloudflare blocking, but we can see.
-
Oh, sorry, I missed that you used `--remote`. We'd need to see debug output for a run to say more. WorldCat employs some anti-bot measures, so could just be that.
-
You need to actually do a `git pull` in `modules/translators`. `git submodule update` just updates you to the last pinned commit, which was three months ago.

You don't say what the exact problem is, but probably this: https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#word_could_not_communicate_with_zotero_please_ensure_that_zotero_is_open_and_try_again

@iagogv: A new Zotero 8 installation where you synced down data wouldn't upgrade existing fields. So that would just mean you hadn't yet upgraded to 7.0.31 or later on another synced computer.
-
That's from Zotero, not the Zotero Connector.
-
A normal sync does not change Date Modified (or else every time you synced every locally modified item would have its Date Modified change, which obviously doesn't happen).
-
@iagogv: No, don't do that. There's built-in code for this, which will be run periodically whenever the schema is updated. It should've run for you automatically, but some plugin could have interfered, or something could have added those after the m…
-
@lgamtj: See above.
-
@haug: It was your JS code that changed Date Modified, not syncing.

You should do a search using All Fields & Tags mode from the root of the library. You may have just accidentally dragged the notes somewhere else by accident. If you can't find them, email support@zotero.org with some details about what would'v…
-
What do you mean by "access the notes online on my backup device"? In the web library or in the Zotero app on that device? It sounds like the notes just haven't synced from the device where you made them. Have you looked there? This wouldn't have …
-
Email support@zotero.org with details.
-
Whatever this is, we don't have anything to do with it. We distribute Zotero from the download page on this site.
-
File syncing is just disabled for My Library. From the page: If Device A is a computer, check that file syncing is enabled in the Sync pane of the settings
-
I linked to instructions.
-
That's from some plugin you installed.

Can you provide a Debug ID from the Zotero Connector for reloading the page and trying to save?
-
If you mean that you're trying to open a file in Zotero from Finder, that has never worked. That is solely for importing and only works for RIS/BibTeX/etc. files, which is why you would have to use Open With and force Finder to even try to do it. A…
-
One more time, File → Import has never worked for PDFs. That checkbox is about where a RIS/BibTeX/etc. import goes — you aren't "opting out" of importing by unchecking it. We explained above how adding PDFs works and has always worked. There's noth…

Right, so that's an error from File → Import. That has never worked for PDFs — it's for importing metadata formats like RIS, BibTeX, etc. To add a file, use the "Add Attachment" button in the toolbar, drag the PDF into Zotero, or, ideally, save from…

You said you're getting an error. Take a screenshot of the error you're getting and include it here, along with the two things requested in Reporting Problems that we always need with any report.
