Sorry-- I wrote the eLibrary one but I won't be able to work on it for a bit.
-
Perhaps the proprietors of the site would be interested in making BibTeX export themselves? It seems like the sort of site that should be eager to add such features.
-
If there are particular sites you are targeting (or platforms), we may be able to write site translators that crawl and attach the comments. But as a general problem it's a pretty gnarly one.
-
This was discussed not long ago, but it seems that Zotero should work fine TenFourFox, which is Firefox for PPC: http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/
-
I believe that MLZ does this.
-
It seems very unlikely that anyone here will write MARC export. What catalog are you working with that doesn't have MODS support? You can try this XSL: http://www.loc.gov/standards/marcxml/xslt/MODS2MARC21slim.xsl It's supposed to convert MODS to …
-
I don't see any MODS -> MARC converters at first glance, but since catalogs don't generally use MARC as the native, internal format, the catalog software should probably have support for MODS import as well. If not, you may be able to develop a c…
-
It should be possible to wrap this in an Automator script for use on Macs-- they can be packaged more or less as applications, so that people can just drag-and-drop the input ODT.
-
And if you try TenFourFox, which sounds like a really cool project, please let us know how well it proves to work with Zotero, so we can pass on that knowledge to others and add it to the help and troubleshooting information. You're not the only one…

Well, I could be misinterpreting MARC-- I don't have a cataloging background. But we do import from MARC, so we are working from its semantics. Maybe you can confirm that we are right in interpreting 700 as author by default? Or point to other data …
-
I believe the MARC 700 is unclear as to role and is most frequently used for authors, which is why Zotero treats the editors of the book in the UNC catalog as authors. See http://www.loc.gov/marc/bibliographic/bd700.html
-
It would be pretty low for Mendeley to consider an SQLite-based import a form of infringement, since that's how they do their import from Zotero.
-
I can read Czech and often Turkish as well. Responses may not be as fluent.
-
Are you using a mobile client like Zandy or ZotPad?
-
Yes, your use case is the original reason behing the development of Multilingual Zotero.
-
The way to do this is to use the Zotero server API to pull your data from the Zotero server: http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/server_api There are libraries for accessing the data from PHP and Python, and there's code for Java and Obj-C as well, s…

I'd recommend using something that opens a read-only connection to Zotero's underlying SQLite database, possibly something in Python using the pygnotero library and code: https://github.com/smathot/Gnotero/tree/master/pygnotero You could also do th…

It's not the file that's too large-- it appears that a file has too long of a file name or a note is too large; likely the former. Look for a file that has a filename starting with "Note " and rename it something shorter.

There isn't a way for citation styles to access the attached link, whereas they could access the contents of the URL field. This is correct citation practice and ultimately the main reason the link had to move to a link attachment-- it would be inco…
-
We'd need to see some example hosted documents to work this out-- are there any public links you can point to?
-
Zandy is now fixed, updated, and re-priced at $1.99. Let me know if you're still having trouble.
-
You can play it in VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html), which doesn't require an install.
-
This could be done pretty easily as an import translator, building off of the existing ISBN search translator. Not that I'm volunteering to do so at this time.
-
I didn't bother to remove the character, since we already had non-ASCII characters in some of the French translators. I can obviously rename it, but it shouldn't be an issue on properly set-up systems. It's pretty bad if there's malware software tha…

For what it's worth, Zotero initially had only the Vanilla-driven forum, then added on Zotero client syncing using the same credentials. This bit was almost certainly due to some patching black magic. Much of the Zotero site is in DokuWiki, but unfo…

@fbennett: Your second link seems to be misdirected.

The .text() in Framework predates the ZU.xpathText() implementation, and it hasn't been revised to match it (and I'm not sure if it should). Also note that Framework is not bundled with Zotero per se, a minified version of it is embedded in each tr…

There isn't a plugin for WPS Office, but there are two plugins already, with the full source code available: http://www.zotero.org/support/dev/source_code I believe that the core team would welcome efforts to build another word processor integratio…
-
You will need to use ZotPad: http://www.zotpad.com/
-
And you'll want to set that as your quickcopy export format to just drag-and-drop the keys.
