Can you post an example REFER/BibIX record from the file for others to confirm this?

Just don't fill your entire screen with Word. I generally keep Firefox running with Zotero maximized alongside Word. If you have limited screen space you can set one above the other and minimize Firefox to about 1/4th its normal size and just run it…

Yes, you can run different Firefox Profiles. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager

There is no way to just turn a personal library into a group library. When collection dragging is implemented it should be easier, in that you could just drag collections from your library into a group. For the time being, your best option is to j…

Issue confirmed ticket created. EBSCO has to be one of the most finicky sites Zotero works with. https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/1626

You might take a quick look at the guide to making simple changes to citation styles. It might look intimidating at first. Once you get a little bit of a feel for it making small changes is generally quite straightforward.

The tag selector button was dropped in a recent update in favor of a toggle on the tag selector itself. At the bottom of the collections column you should see either a single dot or three dots. Those dots function to show or hide the tag selector.

Thanks for the message, and thanks for suggesting improvements to our documentation. I added a section on wild card searches to http://www.zotero.org/support/finding_and_sorting

It looks like the problem is that Crossref is only providing the first authors name in their data. I would recommend contacting the journal to make sure that they are giving Crossref the data on all the authors. You can test this if you like. Try …

For the record APA does require inclusion of a DOI if one exists. APA now has a blog where they can add onto the rules at anytime they chose. If you are particularly inclined to ensure your adherence to the style I would recommend following it. Whe…

I had no trouble with author names in Sociological Abstracts. Can you run through the list of translator issues and see if any of these resolve your issue?

Zotero's highlighting and annotation features do not work in PDFs.

You cannot make attachments public. If you create a group, you can share the attachments with other group members, but you cannot share them with the universe. In the near future Zotero and the Internet Archive will launch the Zotero Commons, whic…

You can't save a simple search. If you really wanted to you could set up an advanced search that matches "any" and set it for any of the fields you think your term might fit in. I would hazard to guess that you are really only picking up the term in…

It sounds like you have the right idea. For the foreseeable future your best bet is to create one book section that has all of the info common to each chapter and then duplicate that item as many times as you need to. Then fill in the chapter specif…

Wow guys this is some great feedback! Clearly there is a need to bring manually adding items into focus a bit more. I am on vacation at the moment, but when I get back in the office in January I would be happy to work with anyone interested in this …

The storage folder has your files, it does not have any data about those files.
-
Great suggestion. It is on our list of things to do but it will take some time.

The sqlite file contains all of your Zotero data. So if you do not have it there is little that you can do. See http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data If your using Zotero 2.0 and you had synced your data up to the Zotero servers you could just …

This is a known issue. See https://www.zotero.org/trac/ticket/1249 On request 2, you can drag and drop notes from the middle pane into any open text area, that will dump the HTML into whatever text area you like.

Your storage is going to store all of your files, or all of the files in a group you have chosen to use your storage for. If you want to see all of the items you have which have attachments you can create a saved search in Zotero where "Item Type"…

Works for me. Can you post a link for the search that isn't working?
-
There is no easy way to do this.

Zotero will keep you from dragging the same item to a collection or group library. However it will not stop anyone else from adding the same item to a group library. We do not have a very good way of knowing when an item is a duplicate as opposed to…

Did you merge several copies of Zotero libraries from different computers? This would just combine all the libraries. Zotero does not throw out items it thinks might be duplicates when syncing. There is no particularly easy way to purge duplicates…

Sometimes there are strange issues with gated resources. Could you just try grabbing this book from Amazon? http://www.amazon.com/Harry-Potter-Deathly-Hallows-Book/dp/0545010225

If you do indeed have two amounts this could answer why you are not seeing your items in your groups. You can try to retrieve the other account by logging out and trying a few different email addresses you might have used to create the other account…

I would encourage you to take a look at the .txt file to see how things are being mapped and then take a look at the source code of the Refer translator in Zotero (You can see it in your local copy of ReferBibIX.js or browse it online at https://www…

Can you post a URL that is problematic? This search just worked fine for me. http://books.google.com/books?rview=1&as_brr=3&q=robot&btnG=Search+Books

It is not currently possible to convert your bookmarks directly into items in your Zotero library. It would be nice, but there are a considerable amount of features that have a higher priority, so it is unclear when anyone will tackle this.
