Thanks Dan, and sorry I should've tried that first (I just realised the same). Step 1, always turn it off and on again...sigh. Oddly I opened another document and it was fine. I opened old versions of this document and on all of them it looked l…

Thanks @mileshastie that was super useful and gave me enough to play and get something. I think the translators are designed to do a better job of name splitting, and this solution will result in errors (but at the moment I have a big load of all e…

Is there any timeline for non-beta release of Zotero 7 (and if there will be any breaking changes/upgrade process for regular users), I'm partly asking because some plugins are now (understandably) focusing on their 7+ versions, and limiting

Thanks @dstillman, I understand that for sure. My confusion is that I could see zotero itemKeys for the item, the pdf, and images (whether exported into note item or annotations). So, I thought as with the PDFs I'd be able to find the relevant item…

I've just experienced a version of this using the annual review of sociology citation style csl (it's a very brief style). A bibliography reference returned: Author, I., Author, I. (DATE). TITLE. But no journal, or page numbers, etc. I did a bu…

Excellent :-) sorry I'm not able to do it myself, at some point I'll endeavour to learn. I've just come across another eprints site with the same isuse: http://eprints.biblio.unitn.it/3976/ (and actually, this one which is a much smaller netw…

theotechne - my interest is in sciplore/docear too, but as I understand automating the bibtex export is quite an important part of that? I''m going to try and work with the AutoZotBib and see how far I get... (as it happens I seem to be having o…
-
Sorry theotechne - not my most useful comment. I can't find the forum post (it's on zotero) mentioning it now, but the improvement was in indexing the PDF file path when exporting to bibtex (I think). The other improvement that'd be great is if…

Anything happening in this space now? I see Zotero's bibtex export is now better from another forum...is the auto-export/update bit implemented or should one still install a plugin/extension? Cheers :-)

Thanks Dan

Yes, from what I understand though when I return the set of all items, tags aren't returned. So it would require a call for all items, then a call for the tags associated with each item in that set.

excellent, thanks both. Wordpress plugin is here if anyone stumbling onto this wants it: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/zotpress/

I agree so *bump* - esp. a way to integrate 'my publications' or some such...

Thanks adam, that's the solution I've gone for which works nicely for this purpose. I guess if it were a more frequent thing opening up outside firefox would get a bit wearing though. Thanks for the help Simon

re printing, see here for possible response: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/3740/

Cheers ahoward. I'm not ignoring the response - it looks like a sound idea. My issues with running off a thumb drive are 1) it's slow, 2) I'd have to sync my main pc to the thumb drive periodically and 3) I have a fairly large archive. For a lot …

Cheers. I deleted the profile files (as mozilla advice), disabled everything (including zotero), enabled zotero, and then re-enabled everything else I use. Seems to be fine now.

Having updated zotero I've lost my button in firefox, using ctrl+alt+z or ctrl+alt+l (I forget which works) doesn't work to open the pane either. Any suggestions on how to fix this or a link so I can roll back to 1.5b1 or 1.5a or whatever would be …

I've altered both instances of prefix"'" suffix="'" such that there is a space before the ' in the prefix, so that the date appears with a full stop/period, then a single space, then the '[title]' bit. I guess I'm misunderstanding the syntax but th…

Once I've done this, I would hope anyone else wanting to use this style could, but I'm not clear I/we'll have made all the necessary changes for the style to be perfect. In your opinion is it better to put it on the repository (perhaps labeling it …

From what I can see it's journal articles, chapters, but not books.

I'm sure I'm being dense, but I've thrown in inverted commas all over that section (after an initial stumble I've made sure I'm in the bibliography bit) and I can't get them to appear in the bibliography. Sorry to ask for spoon feeding, but where w…

I thought I Was done but... How would I add inverted commas around an article title? '[title]' I can't see an obvious "title" section. cheers

Sorted. Many thanks

I want references to read (ignoring formatting): Slonim, R. & Roth, A. 1998. Learning in High Stakes Ultimatum Games: An Experiment in the Slovak Republic. Econometrica, vol. 66(3), pp.569-596. I've changed the only line referring to the volume…

EDIT - 3+ authors always go to 'et al' - i.e. the first instance makes no difference. Sorry, I'm trying to work the style out from the free issue, they don't have a style guide :(
-
having used the url/tool above I've updated successfully, database is fine, no problems that I'm aware of thus far.
-
I've reinstalled zotero 1 (stable release). I'm still showing errors in my zotero database though - what do I need to do? [EDIT] I've submitted my database to https://www.zotero.org/utils/dbfix/ I'm just backing up before trying the new file.

I'd love to have APA style, but with in text citation as numbers (ideally superscript numbers).
