Since Zotero and Academia.edu both exist to help scholars, in two different but not isolated ways, it would be nice to see a collaboration between them. Perhaps shared accounts so that the user of one can login to the other. Or unified or collaborated online CV builder and publication management. I think it would be a great idea to connect Zotero library to the social networking sites and Academia.edu would definitely be the one to begin with.

What do you people think?

    I agree so *bump* - esp. a way to integrate 'my publications' or some such...

    that would seem to be mostly on their side - Zotero has a server api that can produce formatted citations - if academia.edu would allow to implement that, that should do already - see e.g. the wordpress plugin that already exists.

    Just use OpenID (which zotero already supports).

    I agree, it would be easier to find people to group with. What is the thing with google scholar profiles?
