There is no way you can use Zotero on iOS without using cloud sync. The app is designed as a syncing companion app to the Desktop app and there's no way to get Zotero data loaded onto it other than using Zotero sync (files can sync via Zotero or Web…

No, those instructions are completely wrong. The config editor exists (the settings are in Zotero, not the word add-on, where you are looking), but it has nothing to do with this. The only way to add journal abbreviations to a style that doesn't oth…

All the NLM/Vancouver styles now include both PMID and PMCID

It's windows (see 1st post), so it really shouldn't take this long. Can you try letting it run for 30mins once? If that doesn't work, we'll need to get debug output via terminal
-
Freeze and crash are not the same. How long have you waited with it frozen?
-
This just looks like APA 7 though? Any reason you wouldn't just use that?

Yes, a fair number of us have Zotero on a Boox. Zotero's pdf reader is a bit wonky, esp. with annotations, on the e-ink display, but totally workable (there's also a Zotero integration by Boox that lets you use Neoreader). It's popular enough that I…

Make a copy of the document just to be safe, then try a) turning automatic citation updates back on in Document Prefs b) switching to a different style and back Neither should be necessary, but the combo should almsost certainly trigger a full upda…

Upgrade to Zotero 8 -- might be the translations werent updated in Z7 anymore

I'm not seeing this and I also don't see how this could happen. What version of Zotero are you using? And which language exactly is set for the citation style?
-
That's not possible, I'm afraid
-
That's not Zotero functionality -- you'd have to figure out where the ability to set Zotero as a citation manager in Scrivener comes from (I didn't think this was Scrivener either) and report/ask for help there.
-
Continuous automatic file rename changes what the functionality needs to do. And you can set the middle panel to show the filename instead of the attachment title in the preferences
-
Note, though, that that procedure doesn't distinguish between different groups as well as between different groups and my library. There is no easy way, currently, to locally delete the files just from a specific group/library. It could be scripted…

No, there's no way to prevent importing them, but they also have virtually no cost. Either you use a citation style that doesn't use abbreviations at all, or you use a citation style where Zotero automates the abbreviations from the journal title --…

https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/129975/style-translate-dont-work#latest it's respecting the language, it's just disagreeing with you about the proper use of et al vs. "i in." (the style doesn't use & and should use i for and in Polish, so n…

(weird though -- Zotero doesn't grab anything for author at all, which would be preferable to the garbled mess from Zbib)

text. title is functionality of the Better BibTeX plugin. I think that plugin also has an option not to escape curly brackets in titles, but I'd advise against that approach -- it really locks you into LaTeX whereas the beauty of Zotero is that it c…

That's an elicit feature -- much more likely they will be able to help you

Yeah, there's no perfect solution here but since more chapters have DOIs than not, for the item creation I think the current behavior in 8.03, which is that Create Book Section removes the DOI but Create Duplicate keeps it (thus leaving a possible w…

No, this is in the style itself.
-
Isn't it pretty rare for edited books to have DOIs if their chapters don't? I don't think I have seen that
-
That file is for all styles but you can override it in any individual style. See the example at the top of cite them right ed. eds edited and translated by edn. You'll want to create, next t…

Or some other option mentioned, yes. I don't think the key icon is likely the way to go here.

Some plugins (it was Beaver.ai for me) massively delay proper shutdown of Zotero. I'd honestly just wait for 10mins and that might do it.

(et al is Latin, not English, and used widely across languages, including in many Polish styles)

en-dashes are almost always typographically correct for ranges (pages, years, other numbers). For number of volumes, I don't know how they're supposed to look for De Buck. The relevant code for the bibliography is in the volume macro: …
-
This definitely works, including in the current De Buck style. You need to enter the data exactly as in my post in the grey box: it needs to be preceded by "Issued:" and the start and end date separated with a /
-
I'd guess the issue is how you enter the date in Zotero. The Zotero date field can't handle date ranges. It'd need to be entered as Issued: 1980/1982 in the Extra field.
