See https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/485513/#Comment_485513 Zotero doesn't do this, but it's one-click in Word and doesn't need to be done individually.
-
That's a plugin you'd have to ask (typically the developer on github), Zotero doesn't do this.
-
which citation style?
-
I'd generally ignore recommended citations except as a reference for official names. E.g., it'd be entirely out of place to cite a post code in most citation styles.
-
You can likely restore your library -- local and web -- from a backup, either an automatic one or one you created, see https://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data#restoring_your_zotero_data_from_a_backup I don't believe Zotero will restore individua…

You can force bibtex variables, including, I'm pretty sure, item types, to Zotero items using the BBT add-on.

See the link I posted

See my answer here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/124625/problems-with-zotero-citing-using-turabian-style#latest

translators use Zotero functions and you can't hook into Zotero function from your webapp (for obvious security reasons), so no to your question as asked, in case that wasn't clear. currently unAPI is the most robust such option in terms of Zotero …

I do note that you appear to use a bunch of plugins, including one that offers "Title Translation" (which is that?) so that might be a possible cause of this. It might also be a tag, though the multiple TMs are surprising in that context.
-
Use https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=id:elsevier-vancouver instead we'll fix the style on the repository, but might take a little.
-
That's the standard Chicago 17 & Turabian format for immediately subsequent citations of the same work (formerly ibid). Subsequent citations further on will get the short title. There's a Chicago style variant that always prints titles, and it's…
-
See https://retorque.re/zotero-better-bibtex/citing/formulas/index.html shorttitle is a BBT function to shorten the title (which defaults to the first three words) ShortTitle is the Zotero field of the same name for use in a BBT citekey.
-
Zotero wouldn't just move citations -- I'm not sure what exactly happened here, but it looks like you just inserted 10+ footnotes one after the other
-
what is this for? I.e. is this just for personal use or a specific journal requirement?
-
You need to set a linked attachment base directory (typically the same folder as the ZotMoov target folder) in the Zotero preferences under Advanced
-
Pinned BBT citekeys are still the way to go, yes
-
Did you empty the trash and try syncing again?
-
Das liegt am Zitierstil. "Numeric" Zitierstiele wie etwa IEEE oder Vancouver verwenden immer die gleich Nummber für das gleiche Werk. Fussnoten (wie im Chicago Stil) sind immer fortlaufend.

You tried restarting your computer as indicated?

We rarely import the publisher and it's not commonly in the metadata provided by... the publisher. Why do you need this?
-
You can override locales within the style -- check the APA style for how

FWIW, for the example specifically, i.e. the Cock Rock entry in the reader, you'll want "Rat Magazine" as an author as given in the ToC. More generally, I am also not seeing a clear-cut example of this in the reader and it seems unusual to have a c…
-
@dunning are you already handling this in the 18th edition styles? I think this is right, we don't want to substitute editor in for book sections.
-
Footnote numbering is handled by Word, so you would want to look/google there for a solution. IIRC tracked changes can cause this
-
But if you only get this for a small number of items, it might be worthwhile looking at the RIS because that suggests that the problem is faulty export from OpenAlex, and they've been very responsive to bug reports in my experience.
-
The original rationale for not just shortening them on import (or a similar solution) as I understand it has been that authors that are too long to sync typically signal a larger issue with data import. I agree that, especially as Zotero is getting …
-
The last element in the array, i.e. in your case the last element that's not commented out, can't end in a comma.
-
FWIW, Zotero imports both from the Save to Zotero button and openAlex JSON (as obtained from the API), those are richer formats than RIS. You can open one of the RIS files and copy its contents here, but this looks like something went wrong in how…

which format did you export from OpenAlex?
