I came to the forums to report the exact same behaviour, so adding a comment to this thread. Debug ID = D774159616

That's great, thanks.

Great, thanks. I don't think I can count on them all working, so I'll start with small batches as you suggest and see how it goes. I suppose at the end I can export the library to a csv and cross-check against the original list for any items that di…

Great tip, thanks!

I see, thanks. For reasons idiosyncratic to my workflow, it's useful for me to know exactly how many records are in each ris file before I import them, which is difficult when you split the files manually. But I'll make it work. Thanks for the help!
-
Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for the explanation!

I've mentioned this on other threads about dark mode, and not everyone likes it, but in case it's helpful: I use a simple utility called NegativeScreen (https://zerowidthjoiner.net/negativescreen), which works on your entire display, and inverts dar…

That did it. Thanks!

Good to know, thank you! Had not seen the thread from 2018-2019.

I came here looking for advice on the same problem. Seeing as this hasn't been picked up in 5 years, and there wasn't any movement on a related request 5 years previously (https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/59038#Comment_59038), I'm guessi…

I'm not aware of any way to do most of the things on your list, but doing an advanced search might help with this one: > "is there any way to select more than one tag when they don't belong to the same item?" It sounds like what you want is to …

As far as I know, there's no way to get Zotfile to open PDFs using a "modern" Windows app (i.e., the kind of app you find in the Microsoft store, and where there's no .exe file in "C:\Program Files" to launch the program). So that rules out Microsof…

I would just add that this issue also comes up when searching the Zotero library while inserting a citation in Word.
-
Just thought I'd check in on the status of this. Anyone else out there experiencing this problem? Have devs tried replicating this, and are there any plans to work on a solution? I understand if it's not a priority, just curious. Thanks.
-
This solution may not work for everyone's needs, but while we're waiting for a Zotero dark mode I thought I'd mention the very handy negativescreen utility. When I'm working at night I just leave all my Windows programs in light/day mode and invert …

To further clarify a few things: if I close the tag selector and right-click on the collection at the very bottom of the screen, it displays the context menu properly (i.e., above the location of the right-click: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ngcugp85x5…
-
Actually, sorry—it does work properly for collections and for fields in the info pane. It's just items and tags are problematic.

Also yes. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ohbmgcv3sgroz3d/Screenshot 2018-04-13 15.53.12.png?dl=0

Yes, it does.

Thanks bwiernik, you're right—I could have sworn URLs were usually included with GScholar metadata, so I thought this might have something to do with Zotero 5 and/or the new GScholar layout. But looking more closely at items imported to my library f…

For anyone who is part of Microsoft's "Insider" program to receive preview builds of Windows 10, you can use the "Feedback Hub" to let them know this is an issue you want them to prioritize. Someone has submitted a request for this, so if enough peo…

@bwiernik: You're right, I can't believe I never figured out Delete and Shift+Delete before! And yes, I use the menu key/context menu as the basis for my AutoHotkey script for Zotfile commands, but it's imperfect because the makeup of the context me…

I have a question about customizing keyboard shortcuts, I hope this is an appropriate place to ask. I use Zutilo in Zotero for Firefox, but want to have shortcuts for some native Zotero commands that aren't included in Zutilo (e.g., "Move Item to Tr…

I ran in the same problem as reported by @mtd91429 Zotfile will report an error on not being able to rename a file when added to a publication entry (via drag and drop in my case) and the same when trying to change an existing. I found the reason t…

Got it, thank you! I wish I knew enough to work on a patch myself, but that's out of my league. I did have success with the Windows-specific workaround, though.

I wanted to follow up on AlexHunt's questions on Jun. 4th and Jun. 10th about nested folders: With the escaped slashes, using the wildcard “%c”, the best that could be achieved at the moment is: Collection 1Subcollection1 > Collection 1Subcoll…

I thought that might be it, thanks for checking!
