When you try to drag an item to a collection that it's already in, it won't do anything so the collection won't be highlighted.

As I said, the web library currently only supports reading annotations, so they can only be added from a Zotero desktop or iOS app. If you make an annotation in the desktop app and sync, you should also see it in the web library version.

If you create the key using that button from the web library it will redirect you to the feed when you save it.
