Currently, you can use Reference Extractor to select the items in Zotero and add them to a collection. There will be a built-in way to do this in the future.

@PX2: I assume you're aware, but you can create note annotations (as well as highlight/underline/image/ink annotations) on PDFs from the reader, so you can always add a note annotation to the first page as a substitute. PDF annotations also show up …

@friedsoap: This thread was specifically about using the appropriate modifier key while scrolling. That's been fixed. If you're saying the modifier key isn't working for you at all, you should start a new thread with a Report ID.

You deleted a collection a few hours ago. You can likely restore it from the last automatic backup. Note the specific instruction for restoring collections. You should also upgrade to Zotero 7 via Help → Check for Updates if you're still on Zotero…

You shouldn't be doing anything with BibTeX. You can just copy items between libraries within Mendeley and then use the Zotero importer.
