In the latest Zotero beta, we've added a new "Black" theme that matches the dark theme from Zotero 7, with a black background and inverted images. We've also added an "Invert Images" checkbox that can be enabled when creating custom dark themes.

Ah, OK, this is in a group library. That's a bug. We don't currently expose a custom filename format in group libraries, but it should still rename and retitle properly. We'll fix. Thanks.

If you're seeing this for the first attachment, can you reproduce it in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…”), which temporarily disables all plugins?

When the item has no other attachments? The behavior you describe is correct if there's already an attachment on the item, but it shouldn't do that for the first attachment.

This is the new citation dialog in Zotero 8. What do you mean by "tricky to get right publication up"? You can customize citations by clicking on the bubbles, the same way as in the default ("red bar") citation dialog in earlier versions.
