Definitely second this! This issue has really been bothering me for a while. Please consider adding a toggle for the Author field to convert title case/sentense case like the Title field. Some database (e.g. Jstor) stores author names in all UPPERCA…

Please consider adding a toggle for the context menu entry. This is a bit annoying as currently Chrome does not support context menu modification and there is no third party for it either.

@adamsmith Thanks. It worked.

@adamsmith Thanks for the info. Any suggestion for Web Page item that doesn't have a Publisher filed?
-
@dstillman Thanks buddy it works.
-
@adamsmith thanks!

@adamsmith ASA is Chicago-based. I just tested Chicago, and it has no such issue. I guess this is an ASA issue. Possibly you can forward this issue to the language author?
-
I also wonder if Zotero is planning to add an abbreviation field since an abbr may be needed for some well-known organizations. or is this something included in CSL?
-
@adamsmith just tried with ASA/Chicago, it actually works. Thanks!

based on the GitHub page above, I saw Zotero added an original publication date field. I have a question about the in-text citation since many styles require us to include the original publication date. Therefore, I wonder if the original publicatio…

I also tried mla and it doesn't have this issue either. so it may be a csl issue?
-
@adamsmith I'm looking for it but haven't found any word settings after an hr, but If I just simply use APA style, this problem would not appear. so this is why I think it might be something wrong with csl or Zotero.
-
@bwiernik the example I gave above is ASA, kind of like Chicago. but I'd also like to know how to do this in apa. shouldn't there's be a field for the published date since this happens a lot when you cite a selected-writings book?
-
@adamsmith Zotero seems to have no problem to decide the short title automatically. what I do for APA now is: 1. install the add-on of Propachi first 2. I transfer both title and short title filed into sentence case for each item 3. I insert the bi…

@bwiernik thanks for the clarification. I have actually read a lot of request and discussions about batch editing, and some of them appear to be even from years ago. I'm just curious if the batch editing will come to Zotero Standalone since users ar…
-
@bwiernik You mean I can use it in Z standalone or it simply just doesn't work (i.e. unable to batch edit)? Are there any instructions for its usage?
-
@gracile I tried to look it up but didn't find anything useful. Please forgive me that I'm not a programmer. Could you pls tell me that how to use it? Are there any more detailed instructions you can offer? Should I open somewhere in Firefox? How c…

@Gracile Thanks a lot buddy. btw, do I have to download firefox to use it or I just install it in Zotero like any other add-ons?
-
@bwiernik thanks buddy and this does help!

@adamsmith word actually offers three different kinds of copying format and you can actually copy the text and keep your source format at the same time. The reason I'm asking is because the hanging indentation disappears after I installed Propachi. …

@bwiernik Thank you so much buddy. It finally works! I just found another small issue that the bibliography I created no longer hanging indentation once I copy it to word. I can simply adjust it in word but I just wonder if there's any settings I …

Hi, @bwiernik. Here's the information. Zotero: 4.0.29.17 Propachi: monkey-patch for Zotero CSL processor (Uppercase subtitles version): 1.1.74 [ { "id": "http://zotero.org/users/3777474/items/KD5U6T65", "type": "article-journal", "title": "…

Hi, @bwiernik. I just tried multi sources I stored in Zotero with a subtitle and generated a bibliography and none of them was capitalized. I tried both in word and Zotero per se. Is there any any change in settings I have to make?
-
Hi, @bwiernik. I just double-checked and actually the part of Title before the colon does match the Short Title field. But when I right-click the Title field and transfer the text to sentence case and the first letter in the subtitle still won't be …

@adamsmith thank you for the clarification. I just installed it in Zotero Standalone (Windows), but it doesn't seem working. Is there any more detailed instruction you could offer? Thanks in advance.

@bwiernik Thank you so much for the instructions. The thing is that I'm a Chrome user and is there any alternative for Chrome?
