If you can reach the page manually then it's likely not a proxy or firewall issue, but one related to extensions or firefox privacy settings. Try installing the Connector in a new Firefox profile and see if it works there.
-
Right. In the old profile, opening the extension background inspect tools and typing localStorage.clear(), then reloading the extension should do the trick (although the previous suggestion should have done too, so maybe there's something else to th…

Ok, sorry this took a while to look into. It seems that besides Zotero citations in the footnotes you have also added additional text there. This is certainly not intuitive, but that's probably what's causing issues. To properly insert supporting t…

I think I have a fix for at least some of the problems you are seeing and we'll try to push it in the next couple of days. Could you report if: 1. The connector works properly (or at least you can submit a Report ID) in a new Chrome Profile? 2. In …
-
Umm.. Well that is the problem. I am not sure why you would want the startup directory to be your desktop, but if you do, you can just place Zotero.dotm there too. Otherwise, you can just reset the directory to the default one -- ~/Library/Group Con…

Your database should be in ~/Zotero. You need to run a binary named 'zotero' wherever you put the program files. Generally, though, on Linux you should set up the desktop file and run from the launcher just like other applications.

Sorry, I had to go afk for a bit. So this seems all right, the log includes you typing that, but you should have typed it and then reloaded the extension (or restarted the browser), to see the effect. If Zotero client is open you still shouldn't be …

Sorry this is taking a while, but it seems that we're nearly there. Ok, just to make sure you got it right, you should type localStorage['translatorMetadata'] = {} in the developer tools window that you get after pressing inspect views: background …

Ignore the ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED errors for the moment. Are preferences more functional now? E.g. being able to submit Report ID, status correctly shown, etc.
-
You need to see the linked instructions above on how to generate a Debug ID, which is different from Report ID.
-
If you type localStorage['translatorMetadata'] = {} into the the console tab in the background inspect developer tools, then reload the extension, does it start working?
-
Could you submit a Debug ID (different from Report ID) for reloading the page and clicking the save button after it is loaded.
-
Does going into Connector Preferences -> Advanced and clicking "Reset Translators" help? If not, do you get the problem on all pages, or only a specific one? Can you provide an example URL?
-
What version of OS and Chrome are you running?
-
To add the snap-shot in a second step which will be even more difficult with new Zotero 5 standalone. So far still working in Z4 I prefer the latter approach. We'll bring back the ability to attach a snapshot from the current page to the currently s…

Ok, so to make the log access a bit easier could you instead post it on https://gist.github.com/ (no registration required) Otherwise, could you fetch us a log from background.js? We're specifically interested in what happens during loading of the …

This should work as before. Can you describe step by step what's going on?
-
Could you confirm whether your Word startup directory is set to a non-default location?
-
(We no longer recommend using OpenOffice because it has been essentially abandoned since 2014 and while the plugin may work, we won't provide support in debugging problems. You should switch to a fresh version of LibreOffice)
-
Oh. If you're on a 32-bit system there's a bug specific to Linux kernel and JRE. See this comment for workarounds.
-
Could you submit a Debug ID for the action that causes the crash after installing the slightly older updated version I linked to above?
-
I noticed the zotero icons have gotten a facelift so I know the integration is installed and working that far. Whoops, sorry about that. Add/Edit Bibliography is not implemented in Zotero 4.0, so you'll need to revert to a slightly older version. W…

Yep, the URLs are correct.

This is an update to the LibreOffice part of the integration. You only need to update it in LibreOffice without touching the firefox plugin, but it should resolve the problems you are having (unless you have broken citations in the doc, but let's st…

This is fixed in Zotero 5.0. If you are working on a big document close to submission, you better postpone upgrade, but you can install the updated plugin into LibreOffice manually. Download and double-click, or if that doesn't work, open LibreOffic…

You'll need to follow these instructions carefully. If you get stuck at any one step or something unexpected happens - do report. 1. Go to ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/User Content/Startup/Word (you can press Cmd-Shift-G to open th…

it is still very slow to add a reference, but I switched to the "classical adding tab" (not sure of the english term, the "non-dynamic" one), then it is ok. The patch wouldn't have any impact on the speed of adding references, neither should the cla…

The hidden translator preferences have been moved to the config editor within the connector. To access it you will need to go to the preferences page on the connector and change the last part of the URL from "preferences.html" to "config.html". The …

If you don't have Word listed in the Cite pane, something is wrong. If you go to Tools -> Add-ons (you'll have to find the equivalent in French), is Zotero Word Integration listed? If it is disabled, you need to enable it. Otherwise you should tr…

If you are using Word 2013 it does not respect Add-on macro setting exception, so you'll have to enable macros for all documents, or at least keep them disabled with a notification and enable manually for each document you need Zotero in.
