Restart Zotero and your browser. Provide a Debug ID from Zotero (not the Zotero Connector) for an attempt to insert a citation that stops in this way.
-
Provide specific ISSNs or DOIs that you are having issues with.
-
If this is a university lab machine, Zotero running in another user's account may be interfering. The first thing to try is restarting the computer. Otherwise you should make a screenshot of the issue and post it here.

(1)(+0000000): HTTP 0 error from WebDAV server for OPTIONS request A 0 HTTP response generally means that something is blocking Zotero for even making the request, like a misconfigured Proxy, security software or firewall. If you run any of those, m…

Does this still happen if you restart your browser? Does it work correctly in a new document? What if you make a copy of this document via File menu in Google Docs? Does it work with a different browser?
-
You have 490 citations in your document that you have edited manually, Zotero has prompted you about whether you want to keep those changes, and you said Yes. That is why Zotero is not updating them. This either occurred due to you modifying every i…

Thanks! Zotero on Mac was much more quicker with the previous version ... I made the update to 7.0.11 this week with the new visual and since then everything is just slow as I have never experienced! ... I wish I could "undo" the update :( You can …

When you try again do you get an account selection screen asking to authorize Zotero? You need to choose the account that the document is created with, not one that is associated with Zotero.
-
Try in Troubleshooting Mode (Help -> Restart in Troubleshooting Mode).
-
In Zotero Document Preferences make sure that you have set Zotero to use ReferenceMarks and not Bookmarks for citations.
-
This is controlled in LibreOffice under View -> Field Shadings

How are you inserting citations into the document? Could you provide a Debug ID for inserting a bibliography that should contain italics but does not?
-
This would happen if Zotero didn't have a chance to finalize the citation, either because the Google Docs page was refreshed or Zotero got closed while it was working. Remove the {Updating} text and try inserting it again. It might help to restart Z…

This is from the Zotero Connector. You should provide a Debug ID from Zotero.

Submit a Report ID. What version of Word are you running? Open a Word document, choose File from the top left corner, and then click either Account or Help in the left nav bar. You’ll see your Office version and information under Product information…

The speed of the Google Docs integration is determined by the length of the document. We're dependent on Google Docs APIs for updating the document, and when it's large, they become increasingly slow. For very long documents we recommend using Word …

Remove the bibliography and reinsert it with the plugin.

Could you create a new chrome profile, install the Zotero Connector there and see if you still see the issue? Do you run any security software on your machine that you could temporarily disable?

The Debug Log shows you successfully running Refresh in your document. It takes 250s (4min 10s) to load all citations in your document, a total of nearly 1000, and the full document refresh takes 600s (10min). After that a Document Preferences comma…

We are unable to support citations in captions. We recommend adding the citations relevant to captions somewhere near them in the body of the text, and copying them into the actual captions before final submission. Sorry for the trouble, we are unab…

Provide a Debug ID from Zotero for an attempt to insert a Bibliography that fails.

You are probably storing your document in OneDrive or Sharepoint. We recommend updating to Zotero 7 where this issue is fixed. If you're unable to do that, you should store the document you are working on your local disk.
-
Does this occur in a new document? Can you restart your browser and create a Debug ID from the Zotero Connector for an operation that produces this behaviour?
-
Could you make sure you are running the latest version of Chrome and restart your computer? It seems like maybe there is something going wrong in Chrome itself.

Provide a Debug ID for an attempt to add an item.

The snapshot is the local copy of the entire page content with text and images as it appears in your browser. You can open that in Zotero even when you are offline.

@caviaporcellus I've create a ticket to track X11 issues. Zotero is based on Firefox and with Zotero 7 we've updated to Firefox 115 ESR base. Zotero inherits all its window management code from Firefox and as much of Linux is moving away from X11 an…
