I'd love to hear from others as to how you have resolved this, in particular when a general-interest publication exists only in online form. Best choices seem to be blog post and magazine article. Anybody have good reasons to choose one over another…

Ah and I see that there's even a little toggle to switch author from two fields to one--which I have done before because when I start typing Assoc. . . it pops up from an earlier entry. Live and re-learn evidently.

So far so good. The Merton book, which defeated the previous beta, is now pulled right in from Amazon. Haven't tried many others but I'm optimistic! Many thanks to all involved.

Well now it *does* seem to be working for books--some books. I can't find a pattern to this but perhaps it works for books that have a digital edition, or that are in print or something. I will experiment more later.

Just installed beta. Zotero connector installed itself magically in Safari and so far everything works great (knocking nearest wood). Many thanks to the Zotero team for bringing back this valuable component.

Ha. I was *just* about to report that I discovered I had proxies entered from the college where I taught in 2018. I deleted these and it works fine. Thanks for your response and sorry to put you to the trouble.

Mine won't update either. Works fine as is but clicking "update" button under Safari Prefs|extensions results in nothing.

For Pete's sake, now I can no longer edit pre-existing notes. Basically, Zotero's notes function is now completely broken. Anybody have any suggestions? I'm using 2.1.2 on a Macbook Pro, and I assume the same on a PC at the office.
