aurimas - thanks. Look forward to hearing when the update is on the server.

adamsmith - is there a ticket to fix the bookmarklet, which was reported completely broken on Chrome for Android several weeks ago? https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/27979/how-to-use-bookmarklet-on-mobile-browser/
-
I edited the post above to improve the bookmarklet code and fix a bug.

I am also getting stuck at the Looking for translators... message on Chrome for Android (Google nexus 7 running 4.4.4)

I purchased Zandy for my Android tablet in order to access and read my Zotero attachments in storage on WebDAV and I was immediately frustrated - its attachment download feature isn't working with cloudme WebDAV service, which I use. I was also unha…

Mark, thanks, but my main point remains: Why is your step 3 necessary? If you change a book into a book section, Zotero should at the very least automatically move the old "Title" to the "Book Title" field.
-
Thanks for your reply, Dan - I would never have guessed that the "URL" label acts as a hyperlink (although now I see that the cursor changes as I mouseover it). Shouldn't it also be an option on the Locate menu just to make it easier to find? It doe…

I'm posting again on this thread because I am not much bothered about hierarchical item types. I am concerned, though, about being able to easily generate "book section" items from "book" items. And I think this is such a common requirement, it shou…

Harvard University library catalog / AquaBrowser Hi, Harvard is updating its library catalog interface from the Aleph system, currently at: http://hollis.harvard.edu to a completely new AquaBrowser interface which is now at: http://discovery.lib.ha…

OK, well thanks. I'm a paid up Roboform licensee so I'll bug them on this issue and hopefully they'll actually take notice. What about the Endnote files intercept issue I also mentioned Dan? Could you create a ticket for this?
-
Update, sorry, it's ROBOFORM's fault - this app just doesn't behave well - it continues to appear and to interfere with Zotero even when the Roboform Firefox Addon is disabled and Firefox is restarted. The Roboform toolbar only went away when I exit…

Dan, I've tried disabling every addon and plugin I have and even creating a new FF profile and starting with a new Zotero install and new Zotero database, yet I still couldn't rid myself of the permission denied errors. What should I do after all th…
-
On another note, there's no workaround for this, apparently because Zotero is unable to intercept .ris or .enw files that the SSRN site provides when you choose to export the reference. Is it because these files are delivered through Javascript li…

(That's on XP with FF 3.0.4 and Zotero 1.0.7 by the way)

Also he would like (4) A HOT breakfast served with FRESH SQUEEZED juice every morning, in bed, at 7 am. Hop to it, Zotero developers.

I had the same thought, then I realized there's a good workaround for doing this with new items (though not for updating old ones). Suppose, e.g. you want to bring into your library a draft manuscript from an author's zotero-unrecognized webpage. …

Sean said: "Export of PDFs is as simple as dragging them out of Zotero". That doesn't work for me (Firefox 3, Zotero 1.0.7, Windows XP).

I am experiencing a similar bug: Zotero 1.0.7, FF 3.0. It doesn't matter whether the attachment is a snapshot or a stored pdf. It is related name length; manually edited attachment names over a certain length *when they do not contain spaces*…

I want to add my vote to the calls for: 1) Auto renaming of pdf files that have been manually attached to references. How about just including an auto rename selection on the context menu? 2) Pref for attachment title to be same as filename (…

I don't know the IEEE format, but it normally makes a difference whether you insert your references one by one, or choose multiple references at once from within the insert reference (or edit reference) dialog. Are you adding your references one by …

Good idea! Another reason for implementing this: Zotero can't figure it out when a snapshot tab is reloaded, e.g. by refresh, tab close and restore, or Firefox session restore. And when people don't see their markup, they think it's gone for go…

Yes, put the cursor in the Title field automatically after creating a new item using mouse clicks. (The tab order is moot, as the cursor could begin pretty much anywhere as things work at present. Suppose I just clicked a link on a webpage and wan…

Dan: The cursor doesn't move to the Title (or equivalent) field with a single Tab press after mouse clicking the new item button unless the cursor was previously on the item type selection box. Can the cursor be made to default to the Title field a…

bruce: I don't see the problem with the scenario you suggest. If the user wants Zotero to use ibid again on the next citation (although I'm not sure why they would!), they can simply avoid adding the proposed manual reference marker with their manua…
-
erazlogo and bdarcus: Surely the best way to solve helen07's problem (where Zotero wrongly uses ibid rules after a manually inserted citation) is not to design a new style that ignores ibid rules, but to make it possible to insert a Zotero "Blank"…

The SSRN translator is clunky in that it only works if the user is logged in - but the SSRN site doesn't make it obvious that any login will be required. Is it possible for the translator to pop up a messsage such as: "Please login to SSRN first" ra…

Core devs - can you open a ticket for this and close it with the following FIX? Change target regexp of Google Scholar translator from '^http://scholar\.google\.[a-z]+/scholar' to '^http://scholar\.google\.' Question: Current translato…

Shornik: In your case the problem has nothing to do with EZProxy - it is that you're accessing ScienceDirect with only Guest access. ScienceDirect doesn't allow Zotero to export the citation information unless you are signed in to have full access t…
