@mrli6666 When you are out of campus then use a proxy (see https://www.zotero.org/support/connector_preferences#proxies) It works perfectly.

@adamsmith In the new ISO 690:2021 (article 7.2.4): The name can be followed by a public identity identifier (ORCID, ISNI, and others), introduced by the identifier type. The identifier should be used if the name alone is not sufficient to identify …

Is there a shift in the inclusion of author identifiers in Zotero? One of the problems I often encounter both as an author and as a reviewer is the correct spelling of names and the confusion of first and last names. Adding the ORCID ID to Zotero wo…

I would like to ask the developers to involve the "Duplicate items" function in the Android app. A few days ago I tested Zotero on iPad and I can't find this function, which I use very often.
-
As adamsmith wrote: do not use Chat GPT as a source of references. This Chatbot is trained to provide "believable" answers, not correct answers. Many documents, which were cited by Chat GPT, do not exist in reality.
-
Why you need a snapshot? Conversations with Chat GPT are archived in your account.
-
Thank, I also rather download metadata directly from the publishers' websites. For me it seems that the metadata on the publishers' websites are more accurate than metadata on the databases such Scopus or Web of Science.
-
From my perspective, the main aim of each reference list is to provide information that helps readers to find referenced items. There is not important what the referenced item is.
-
ISBN (and other variables) can be added to all types of documents through the Extra field (https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/item_types_and_fields#citing_fields_from_extra)
-
For sharing collection, you can use the groups. See https://www.zotero.org/support/groups
-
@Pier-Louise Yes, of course. In the mid pane right-click on the item and select "Add Note from Annotations"
-
Thanks, it works :-)

I found the next problem. In the article https://polarresearch.net/index.php/polar/article/view/5753/13925 is a reference: "Lowry L. 2016. Pusa hispida. The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species 2016: e.T41672A45231341. Accessed on the internet at htt…

I compared the titles in results of style with an article available at https://polarresearch.net/index.php/polar/article/view/5389/14044 and the titles of articles and titles of books (in case of the chapter in the book) are fully correct. I see onl…

You can send it on github style repository https://github.com/citation-style-language/
-
how to add a prefix is described here: https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_usage#customizing_cites

@ebba1987 you are welcome. Unfortunately, we are not able to help you with problems on the Covidence site.
-
@ebba1987 which problem do you have? Zotero absolutely supports the import of RIS (a standard format). Did you use the desktop application for RIS import?
-
It should be enough to just copy the data folder https://www.zotero.org/support/preferences/advanced#files_and_folders
-
I do not use this information, it is imported by the translator automatically.
-
It seems like a general translator's problem. I have the strings "JSTOR" or "Scopus" in fields "archive" and "Library Catalog" (the same string is in both fields).
-
"Regardless of how the information came to be a part of the record, there is no reason for the software to put the archive field into the reference." I do not think so, there is a lot of historical documents which are available in archives only. Arc…

No, it seems that there is no guide for the correct formatting of the list of references.
-
How I wrote above, Zotero uses pdf.js for the rendering of PDF files. pdf.js is developed outside the Zotero team. This function is not be implemented in the pdf.js; therefore, it cannot be available in Zotero.
-
pdf.js which is used in Zotero does not have this function. I reality, I did not see this function in any PDF reader.
-
No, it is not possible. But you can insert uncited texts through Quick copy https://www.zotero.org/support/creating_bibliographies#quick_copy
-
Why do you need to export data from Zotero to office xml?
-
See https://www.zotero.org/support/adding_items_to_zotero#add_item_by_identifier
-
I don't see why it shouldn't work. Depends on what you expect. Zotero does not store podcasts itself, only metadata about them.
-
Oh, yes, sorry.
