Hide To Tray

Please give Zotero the ability to hide in tray and run in background. Closing the app by mistake is a routine.

Minimizing to the Windows system tray is a fairly common request, and might happen in the future, though not anytime soon for technical reasons. On a Mac it's possible to close the main window and still save from the browser.

You can also install the Firetray plugin (https://github.com/LaserTron/FireTray). Several generic utilities are also available on Windows to minimize any program to the tray.

I said built-in utility on windows 10. I don't trust this outdated Firetab, and also not some random mini programs of unclear origin. I mean Zotero is a great program and I am happy to use it, but it's a pity that this feature is not integrated in zotero. There are enough threads showing that this issue has its importance:

Windows does not have a built in function to do that. Firetab is open source. You can see that it doesn’t have any malicious code in it.

I have found the perfect solution for it with this - https://rbtray.sourceforge.net/. RBtray, And it can be used for any other application that has the same problem as zotero.

@ZarifKaisar, thanks for the suggestion. This is a nice app. However, it only solves the minimization problem which sends it to tray. When you close it, it closes all the same. Did you fix this somehow?
