What exactly do you mean by "Free" version of Word 365? There isn't a free desktop version. If you mean Word Online, then Zotero does not work with that.

There's no plugin for Word Online, sorry. You can generate regular one-off citations and references using Quick Copy, but that's it.

You need to install the full desktop version of Word on both computers. It’s not possible to use Zotero in Word online.

(Though if you really mean "log into" Word — that is, that you're using Word Online — then it's not possible to use Zotero with that. You need a local version of Word to use Zotero.)

If by Word365 you mean the installed desktop version of Word, then yes, you can use Zotero normally to add and edit citations and bibliographies, in both new documents and existing ones.

Note that you can safely edit a document that contains Zotero citations in Word Online. You just can't add or edit Zotero citations or bibliographies.
