Zotero & Word Online

I can't get Zotero plug-in to work when working on SharePoint. I realize this may not be possible. But, I also can't even get it to work if I download the document from SharePoint to work offline. If i open a brand new word document I can get Zotero to manually install. Otherwise, I can't get a Word document to open with the Zotero tab up top.

    Does the Zotero plugin not show up in any of your saved word documents or just the ones from SharePoint?
