It looks like Firefox and Safari already block them, and Chrome and Edge are in the process of disabling them.

This behavior persists in both GDocs (through Firefox) and LibreOffice Writer. The browser connector has also been recently updated.

It's just a bug — the latest beta is based on a newer version of Firefox that is adding those system options. We're working on removing them.

We've added proper 429 handling in the latest Zotero Connector beta (5.0.124beta1) for Firefox. Let us know if that works better for you.
