Upgrade StorageZotero Connector not downloading pdf files but still pulling metadata (sometimes)
I've noticed over the past few days that the zotero connector is not downloading pdf files. This manifests in a few ways, depending on the browser I'm using.
Firefox:
- I click the extension button when viewing a pdf in-browser --> the button shows a red X and nothing happens
- I click the button when viewing the webpage linking to a document (e.g. an arXiv page) --> Connector creates an item for the document with all the metadata it usually collects but without the pdf. The pdf shows up on its "to do list" but stays greyed out, see image below for what I mean

Chrome:
- I click the button when viewing a pdf --> behaviour inconsistent. If it's an arXiv pdf then I get the metadata but no pdf as in the image above but when trying with a pdf from Quantum Journal for instance I get this erro message and no pdf

This is the report generated by the firefox extension, the chrome extension did not log any errors so I don't have a report for that.

We'd need a debug ID from Zotero Desktop for either of those two operations.

If I had to guess, some version of this is the most likely cause: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/connection_error
The only thing I can think of that could be causing this is NordVPN but that isn't running at the moment.
