  4. Zotero 5.0 not downloading metadata

    by dstillman · April 24, 2020
I would just delete that new profile and then Refresh Firefox in your old profile, which creates a new one while preserving bookmarks and the like. The old one will be placed on the desktop.

  6. How to sort items in Collections as I choose?

    by mmp997 · April 3, 2020
In Firefox's Bookmarks I simply preface all bookmarks in a folder with a "1,2,3...5", which allows easy sorting.

A little over a year ago, Firefox removed a bookmark 'notes' feature, where one could add useful notes/info to bookmarks stored in Firefox.
  8. Extracting Collections/URLs list to automate Advanced Search

    by adamsmith · December 22, 2019
While RDF is in principle an openly readable format and any other tool _could_ read Zotero RDF, I know of no other tool that actually does (understandably so, given the effort that'd require to implem

Can the output be converted to bookmarks for Firefox for example? I am not familiar with this format and this is beyond my incompetence in computer science. I wish there was more collaboration with t

    by tiffanygbr · November 19, 2019
I think I'm gonna transfer bookmarks and passwords in a new Firefox profile. Certainly the best solution.

    by dstillman · October 17, 2019
Note that using a new profile will also cause you to lose all Firefox history, bookmarks, cookies, and passwords stored in the old profile. You can try instead refreshing Firefox in the old profile an

I'm on the Zotero linux desktop client and I'm pulling my hair out trying to make this work. Basically all I want to do is import a list of urls into Zotero and have the metadata pulled from the page

    by Liv M · April 28, 2019
I do wonder though - how else does Zotero protect your data? Is any sort of encryption implemented? (at rest, in transit, on their servers only, etc.). Are there measures in place to protect against d

    by dstillman · January 30, 2019
Find-as-you-type is just the standard behavior of most tree views — e.g., Mac Finder. In our case it comes from Mozilla, where you'll see the same thing in the Firefox bookmarks manager. We're hoping
