I have a similar issue. I annotated a PDF with more or less the latest version of Acrobat Reader on Windows using the Comments toolbars. When I use ZotFile to extract the annotations, I get exactly

Right — ZotFile is a Zotero plugin, not a Firefox extension. If you try to install it into Firefox, you're going to get an error.
