I tried many times, also from new blank Word files, but still the same.

I downloaded the file and then I opened it with the word software.

The footnotes in my word document sometimes end in ibid, or repeat the same citation. It is as though I have entered the same citation twice into the same footnote, but I have not done that.

Can you say what specifically is wrong? If you mean the citation is in bold text, check the Word formatting style (Body, Heading 1, etc.) that is applied to the paragraph. Zotero applies the same styl

Saving something like a Word document directly to the app isn't a common thing, so I don't know that we've tested that. You might need to download it first and then attach it to an item.
