It's a limitation of Google Docs. Zotero citations themselves are internally stored as links in Google Docs, so we cannot make the doi text a proper link.

The first thing to try is to restart Zotero and refresh the Google Docs page. If it doesn't work then, provide a Debug ID from Zotero (not the Zotero Connector) for an attempt to cite.

You can also provide a Debug ID from the Zotero Connector (rather than the Zotero app) for reloading Google Docs and clicking Add/Edit Citation.
