Zotero buttons not working
Good afternoon,
I am looking to download zotero and use it with google docs or microsoft word and it has been very challenging. I downloaded the program from the site, then as advised I downloaded the connector. When I click to connect with chrome the install button it doesn't do anything else but a blue button to the right tells me I can uninstall, so I am assuming it has installed.
When I open the link for zotero on my desk top I cannot press on the green plus sign to start adding articles that I later want to convert to my article.
I haven't used zotero previously, so I also tried to access it from google docs where it now appears on the tool bar of the article, however, when I click on 'add citation' it just freezes on "zotero is updating your document"
Please help.

dstillmanFirst, make sure you've read through Adding Items to Zotero to understand how to use Zotero. You'd almost never add things manually from within Zotero. If you can't find the Save to Zotero button in your browser toolbar, see No Toolbar Button. If this is a new, empty document, most likely the citation dialog appeared behind your other windows — it's part of the Zotero app, not your browser. If you're sure it's not that, restart Zotero and provide a Debug ID for reproducing this.

sandra.tadrosThank you very much! Yes, I see the first issue was that on the left publications was selected rather than library, once I selected library I was able to add references using both plus sign and the tool beside it for the pubmed number but as you said, I wasn’t seeing the pop up tool bar. It was behind my open screens. Thank you :)

dstillmanAgain, though, you would normally add things from the browser, which would be able to save even if My Publications was selected.
