Bibliography format appears in HTML code

Hi all, I am working on a project and I noticed my bibliography format appears to now be in HTML code. I am working in google docs. Previously it was in AMA format and correctly formatted with numbers. I am able to use a HTML code converter and this will restore it to the original format. I have tried clearing my history, cache, and cookies of my browser and restarting my computer with no luck. Wondering if anyone has a solution to this? Have you tried just deleting the bibliography and re-inserting it?
(there have been a couple of reports of this, though none I'm aware of in the last couple of months, so you can also search if someone else with this the same issue found a solution)
