Go to the Nvidia control panel and look for any application compatibility settings. Zotero is based on Firefox, so you should set it to use whatever settings apply to Firefox.

That means that Fedora has removed whatever dependencies were necessary for Firefox 60ESR. We are planning to upgrade to a later version of Firefox base, but it won't happen in the very near future, s

Sorry, update - just noted that my browser did not download FF 60ESR. Firefox seems to have redirected me to a more current ESR, 91.3.

Now, another question: are you suggesting that the up to date Firefox version is not good enough any more for Zotero?

    by dstillman · November 8, 2021
No, Zotero has nothing to do with Electron. It's based on Firefox 60 ESR.

Zotero is based on Firefox 60ESR, so you should make sure that works for you without issues.

The current version of the Zotero Connector for Firefox is 5.0.91. You should upgrade manually and figure out why automatic updates weren't happening for you.

Hi: I am having this same problem as was raised by bluevision on November 25th 2020. This started happening after I applied the latest update to Firefox to 94.0 64 bit version.

  12. Apple Silicon compatibility

    by dstillman · November 5, 2021
(That said, once Zotero 6 is out, getting Zotero running on a current Firefox version, and ultimately Apple Silicon, will be a major focus. There are at least a couple 14" MBPs on order between us, so
  13. Apple Silicon compatibility

    by dstillman · November 5, 2021
Zotero is currently based on an older version of Firefox from before they made massive changes to the platform, and Zotero requires extensive technical changes to work on current versions. Moreover, e
  14. Apple Silicon compatibility

I agree – all other software I use runs natively on M1 (Firefox, Office, Libre Office, Latex). May I ask which reason hinders compiling Zotero for M1 (Apple Silicon)?

  16. Research notes in Scrivener & Zotero, and autocorrect in Notes field

    by dstillman · November 2, 2021
Sorry, the built-in autocorrect won't currently work in Zotero notes. It's a technical limitation — Zotero is based on Firefox, and Firefox doesn't yet support the system autocorrect. They have an ope
  17. Client not aware of hidpi on wayland

    by vsanchez · October 31, 2021
Hi, the ideal situation is to have zotero running under wayland and not in Xwayland. Both Firefox and thunderbird can do that. In the case of thunderbird the MOZ_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 must be set. Firefox
