That's an error message from Google Docs. They will limit Zotero if you try to use it too much at once, or need to update too many citations. It seems like they may have become stricter with the limit

I now seem to be blocked. I have tried to access the document from different browsers and different computers and get 429: Google Docs request failed.

@raffaem This is a Google Chrome bug that is being fixed on their end and should be resolved with a Chrome 91 update as per their bugtracker. In the meantime it can be worked around by using Firefox,

@raffaem It looks like Google has changed the Docs editor recently which has broken cut-pasting of Zotero citations. We'll look for a workaround but it's indeed broken for now.

I have Google Docs, and when I try to insert a citation, both with Ctrl+Alt+C, or with Zotero -> Add/Edit Citation, nothing happens

The citations are inside a table in Google Docs. I have a table made entirely of citations.
