I agree. Lots of articles etc. (even new ones) don't have an outline, so it would be great to be able to create bookmarks manually from headings. As a workaround, I currently highlight all headings (and only headings) in purple and have created a n…

You can rotate a single page; there should be options for that in the "Edit" menu bar section as well as in the context menu when clicking on the miniature preview of a page in the left sidebar. I fully agree with this: "I didn't expect to use Zote…

Btw, it looks like this might get fixed in pdf.js, as it was recently assigned and prioritised to "P1": https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1659492

„Also, in latest beta, the text below in the same window isn't translated, but it's present in transifex, maybe locales in github need just an update.“ @ezellohar It‘s quite common for new strings to be put on Transifex right alongside a new beta r…

I'll add myself to the list of people waiting for a redesign, as the old one is really starting to look a bit dated on macOS Ventura. Even more so when compared to, e.g., Obsidian, which is also a cross-platform app based on a web browser (Electron)…

The reason why I originally chose straight quotes is that I thought it would avoid having a mix of languages in the note editor, since they are the most universal and don't look out of place when working with English texts while having Zotero set to…

I agree that merging or grouping multiple highlights would be useful, both on the same pages as well as on multiple pages. Currently, when manually editing the page number of a specific annotation, you can set it to a range of pages (e.g. "9-10") an…

@coelen Those already exist. You can enable 2-page view by choosing "Even Spreads" or "Odd Spreads" from within the View menu bar section. Multi page view can be enabled by choosing "Wrapped Scrolling" from the View menu and then zooming out. Regar…

I agree with the request, but I suspect that it is not trivial to implement, as it seems to be a general problem with PDF.js, also affecting the built-in PDF viewer in Firefox. Those folks seem to have been aware of this for a while, but haven't yet…

Another addition to the list: -The window "Close Zotero", including its title and the description "A copy of Zotero is already open. Only one copy of Zotero can be open at a time."

@dstillman I'm replying to this thread because I have a question that seems too pedantic to create a new discussion, but please let me know if there's a preferred method for asking questions regarding localisation. Under Preferences/Export, there's…

Quick update to add 2 more strings to the list of missing localisations: - In the menu bar "File" menu, the strings "Export PDF..." (in the main library view) and "Print" (in the PDF reader)

Another question would be if the feature itself should be another option in the right-click menu, or just a setting that changes how "Add note from annotations..." works. I think a setting might be more elegant, as I don't see the need to change thi…

Tough to say. I'd say as the default the entire outline should be extracted when using the feature (even if there are no annotations between headings), as it's quicker to delete unneeded headings than to add ones later. I guess there should be a set…

Vielen Dank euch; mache ich!

Indeed, now I'm in. Thank you both!

I can't, when I click "Join team", German doesn't show up as an available language.

@adamsmith Oh okay, I wasn't sure I successfully sent one. But I guess I did and that's why I couldn't find German in the list anymore. Thanks!

@shmuhammad: If you right click the note you want to export in Zotero, there should be a menu item called "Export Note...". Within the markdown file, there will then be "zotero://select" and "zotero://open-pdf" links after each annotation. If you c…
