The style still uses publisher-place. It needs to be updated to use event-place. It was only working before because Zotero used to pass Place as both publisher-place and event-place as a hack.

As I say in the thread quoted above, the planned change here is to add an option to hide non-matching context rows when performing a search. If you filter for a tag used on an annotation, you should still see the annotation.

The selected citation will be shown in the search bar at the top of the dialog, regardless of whether you're in List or Library mode. If there's no citation bubble, you haven't clicked Add/Edit Citation within an active Zotero citation.
