Users are asking for this feature since 2008! Frankly, this is a shame. Note that probably 10x more users than those reporting here just quit Zotero for apps that do have this feature implemented.

@wh_fzj_ste: your script does not work on Word Pro 2019 + zotero 5.0.96.2 + plugin 5.0.19.SA.5.0.96.2 The document remains the same after running the script.

I have i.e. [5][6][7] (yes, I am guilty of this "error") and want to get [5-7], I select all 3 and click Add/Edit Citation. I just see the red window with the 1st one. Are you saying that the only way to get what I want is to select references for 6…

Then it means I would need to define a dependent style, the parent being a "numeric" one and include the tags to make it print the url, right? But I do not see how to do that in the guide.
-
@dammation: you say "For the sort stuff, you'll want to look in the section" which section?
-
True! But this is not the behaviour I get on linux and is not as with some other pdf docs, as the one you tried, hence the confusion (I have a very long database and the screen does not even flick after adding the pdf). Once I know it, it's…

Actually works with your example (I get fw4.pdf in Zotero), but not with many other, as for example: http://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/dismo/vignettes/sdm.pdf (I get nothing, nothing happens after Save Link As Zotero Item) It does work…
-
No, that's the main point: "Save Link as Zotero Item" does nothing on Macosx Firefox. The second problem is that the normal way of circumventing the problem by displaying the pdf within firefox does not work either. Agus

I open again this thread because I still have the problem with the Firefox 20.0 Zotero plugin 4.0.5. on Mac OSX 10.7.5 It's a real problem because while I have the Firefox Preferences/Applications Portable Document Format (PDF) set as Previ…

Therefore this is not causing the problem, right?

Today I had this Firefox error (related to Zotero) at starting up, but Zotero works: A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete S…

I understand this is off-topic, but where can I see that I have that extension? Is not listed by Firefox in the Extensions tab, just see Zotero and the Libre Office plugin. Thanks for your help! Agus
-
I do not think I have that extension, I just see Zotero and the plugin for LibreOffice. Anyway, It has worked the second time I started Firefox Agus
-
I also confirm that no crashes occur with Firefox 11.0 installed through Synaptic. I went back to Firefox 9.0 until 11.0 has become available. Agus

I understand your point of view but disagree on the conclusion. For the user, knowing that a given item is a poster and not a conference paper is important, as they do not provide the same information and, in particular, not the same way of …

Thank you for making it! Anyway, is this plugin going to work for an existing bibliography or is the user supposed to have the abbreviation made when the reference is inserted? Perhaps, if the way zotero works is by relying on the Abbreviation…

(Dan: I think this was because of http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/21879/libreoffice-plugin-throws-an-error-after-clicking-the-ok-button-in-classic-add-citation-dialog/#Item_19 How should I revert? Uninstall and install again through firef…

Then, as far as I understand, it is not possible to import lists such as http://images.isiknowledge.com/WOK45/help/WOS/A_abrvjt.html http://www.cas.org/expertise/cascontent/caplus/corejournals.html http://www.bioscience.org/atlases/jourabbr/r.ht…

excuse me, I meant abbreviating the names of the journals. Agus
-
So, in short, we should use "Create New Item from Current Page" instead of "New Item/More" Perhaps this should go to the FAQ What I do not understand is why "Create New Item from Current Page" is not present in Zotero standalone.
-
But as Godinot says, it would be useful having it as a different type. Agus
-
Maybe it's a problem on the ScienceDirect side? I'll pay attention to other services, although ScienceDirect is the one I use most often. Thanks, Agus
-
It does not automatically download the pdf for me, I indicated the link to the page for you to try. As far as I can tell, it never does so with ScienceDirect, although it does in other services. And no, I do not have the link of that thread, bu…

I'm using "Create New Item from Current Page" precisely because the pdf is not automatically downloaded from this site. In fact, I was advised on using "Create New Item from Current Page" in this list. Thanks,

zotero-3.0-branch.xpi working fine for me, I click OK twice at inserting the reference and the error does not appear any more. Thanks for your excellent support Agus
-
Clarification: For single citations "edit" does the job. The problem occurs for multiple citations only. Thanks
-
Thanks for fixing it! What do I have to do with file http://www.zotero.org/download/dev/zotero-3.0-branch.xpi ? Can you provide an estimate of the time fro the release of 3.0.3 ? Agus
-
Any other info I can provide? Is this issue being investigated? Agus
-
Yes, I always use the classic citation dialog, I prefer seeing the list and look for the reference there. Thanks Agus

Another one: Debug output has been sent to the Zotero server. The Debug ID is D383265238 Hope this helps to solve the problem. Also, I *think* the problem occurs only when after selecting the reference to be included, I click OK twice …
