  • This was not a major issue to solve, with "find by formatting." It's just that, retrospectively, I was wondering if I had done anything wrong / forgotten to do anything "right." It could have been useful for next time (articles...).
  • Thank you. I'm not sure exactly what I did, but I finally managed to get the thing done ;-)
  • Wonderful! Tested on a one-page document, solved in 3 seconds flat
  • I'm not sure what you mean. Where can I change it? Do you mean in the word processor? In Zotero itself?
  • Thank you very much for your prompt answer. It WAS indeed a mistake on my part. I have just understood what happened. It might help someone else, who knows? I had several works by André Lefevere, and one by Andre Lefevere (forgot the accent). Nor…
  • Thank you VERY much. In MLA, this works perfectly ;-)
  • just an update. Thanks to help on another issue, I was able to put N. in italics. I just entered this into the field Content, N. For dictionary entries where you do not need the author, you can just "omit author." The only issue I have is that, …
  • @adamsmith No problem. I understand. I am very happy that there is a solution, honestly. For the other stuff (YouTube / Dictionary Entry), I will just try a few fields (I have already done a bit of testing), and if it doesn't work, my work will not…
  • @dstillman Sorry, I did not realise that my questions were esoteric. Thank you for the link to the forum guidelines. I should have read it 5 years ago. Just assumed I knew how to use a forum, I guess… Also, thank you for your suggestion. I have j…
  • Since May, I have had a few questions on the forum, on different issues, which seem to have gone unnoticed. Is it possible that they may have been "skipped" because they just happened to arrive on a busy day? Should I "relaunch" them in some way? …
  • While waiting for an answer, I have been looking at other discussions (not MLA related). Is the field "director" supposed to be for the person who UPLOADS it? This seems strange to me. Or should I NOT quote a YouTube video, but instead quote a TV …
  • Here it is: D1638535686 It was still VERY slow before I closed Zotero, both with one or two pdf documents open and without. However, when I restarted, it was no longer slow, so perhaps it just needed a restart... I will see how it goes today. I …
  • Hello, As it is lagging again, I have produced a debug ID: D1250454136 It is not only when scrolling pdfs, but just about any actions. It has been extremely slow lately, making it very difficult to work. I wonder if this is related to syncing, i…
  • OK. Sorry about the confusion. Yesterday morning, I could only find one in my desktop app, so I was confused. I had a look last night and both were there, so I must have done something wrong. I have just deleted the item anyway. I have no idea wh…
  • Thank you. I have just removed “Type: broadcast”, but there is something I do not understand. In my desktop app, “Type: broadcast” does not appear, so I wonder why it does on the Zotero website. The item on the website say: Date Added: 22/03/2020…

  • I suppose that, in order to do this, I would need to reproduce this error, but now it is not lagging any more... On the other hand, I clicked on sync and got a warning, so I clicked on that, which led me here: https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/unkn…
  • OK. Thank you. If it has fixed, that's perfect. Does the report indicated anything that I should be changing. I have a look at the report but I do not understand 10% of it, obviously. I did read "Invalid creator type 'performer' for type podcast",…
  • Has anyone intervened on this? The issue seems to be solved, as far as I can observe.
  • Message received again, this time with the number: 1748509412 Not sure if this is useful or if it leads to the same issue. Will turn off Zotero for now...
  • Could someone tell me, in the example above, where I should write "liner notes" so as to get this result, please? Race, Steve. Liner notes. Time Out (in italics), by Dave Brubeck Quartet, Columbia Records, 1959. It seems to me that I could use thi…
  • I am confronted with an issue concerning containers: (citing in MLA) When I cite a song from a single/7", I do not indicate a container, therefore it appears in italics. Fine. When the song is on an album, I indicate a container in the extra field,…
  • @dstillman Thank you for your help. Sorry about that. In fact, it has just been solved by @adamsmith on another thread. The option did not appear because I had not set the citation style after the ODF scan, so all I had was placeholders. Now it DOE…
  • Wonderful!!! Done. Thank you very much. I thought that my document was ALREADY set to MLA 9th. That was really a simple fix.
  • @adamsmith Hello, I have tried to follow the link above to move documents between Word processors. For "LibreOffice to Word", it reads: 1 In LibreOffice, use File → Save As… to create a copy of the document as a .docx with a new filename (e.g., “…
  • @bwiernik Have you seen my last question? Do you think you can help with the "book" item? Is there any field where it could work / would make sense to write "Concert programme book"? Thank you. I wish you a beautiful day.
  • I have just had a look at the MLA 9th edition handbook. Under “liner notes”, page 333, I find this example: Race, Steve. Liner notes. Time Out (in italics), by Dave Brubeck Quartet, Columbia Records, 1959. Under “works missing publication informat…
  • There is a lot of information, with many people involved, among which Production des concerts: Les Spectacles de la lionne. I wonder if that would work, but it is not really a publisher. I have no idea if they are in charge of the booklet too. There…
  • The problem is that both book and report need a publisher, but there does not seem to be any.
  • P.S.: also want to mention that I am well aware that you are a small team and you are already doing an AMAZING job! I can never thank you enough for Zotero 6. The integration of the .pdf reader is just SOOO perfect! :-)
