Like Zotfile, Zutillo etc. I reinstalled Windows thus Zotero as well. I important libraries no problem. Can I import the plugins I had with their settings?
-
Can Zotero backup plugins?
-
Worked! My library is back. However, my addons like Zutilo, Zotfile, and customisations are gone.
-
Aha, okay. Thank you, will mend it tomorrow and report back.
-
@Peter Gotterbarm Oh yes! Amazing job! With a great reply like that it's never too late haha. I messed around with the break and it's a great feature to have handy by, but decided to use it without the break because the note becomes too long. Besid…

I am probably using it wrong but. I cited the same author and same book twice, but it made only one bibliography entry and didn't discern with letters.

I can't post the second code properly here, it displays simplified version the same as the above code. What the....

It's the same as the description on Zotfile website. I did mess about with it already and couldn't get it to work. I have 0.1% knowledge of CSS and HTML. This is the default value for extensions.zotfile.pdfExtraction.formatAnnotationUnderline: "%(c…

I reversed the code into this (%(cite)) "%(content)" so I can have the in-text and page numbers first. I think it's clearer that way. However, underlines are still without colours and the page numbers are at the back with those. It's as if the code…
-
@adamsmith No, still doesn't work when replacing "%(color_category)" with "%(color)". It displays the colour in RGB code instead of previously HEX code.
-
@bwiernik Yeah, no problem.
-
But it just displays the code (ex. #FF0000) in front of the highlight, not the colours. Why would you intend for that? I am failing to see the use for it. Although I am not that bothered as this method: p>"%(content)" (%(cite)) works charms. Yet…

Yeah man, it works! Amazing, thanks. Just to let you know, this method does not work. It just places the colour codes in plain text in front of the highlights. "If you want all of your annotations in one note, but for the color to be included next…

They talk about reference, I misunderstood it as a file, I told you the jargon is confusing to me. "All wildcards are now defined in the hidden preference zotfile.wildcards.default and can be changed by the user. But I strongly suggest that you do …

Oh okay :D. I was wondering what the hell was otooon :D. Right, I am not experienced with html coding and I am not sure what the instructions instruct. They are written for people adept in coding. * What I understand is that there is some "hidden…
-
Sorry, what is an "otooon"? I've never heard it. Thanks.
-
Right, just realised I cannot implement my suggestion. For the following reasons. If I go back to chapters I have already visited and made annotations to, but return after some time for re-reading and to make additional annotations it becomes messy.…

What an awesome add-on. Brilliant! Why aren't such awesome add-ons like Zotfile and Zutilo added into the installer for Zotero permanently?
-
Yes, I noticed that. Thanks. Just somehow I thought I could type in search lol. Thanks for the tip.
-
Oh I see. They only work as clickables. Thanks.
-
Aha, thanks.
-
@adamsmith create a note child item. Write 2 lines of text. The first line will become the title of the note. Make sure the second line contains different words than the 1st for this experiment. Now go to the search top/right and type in any word f…

Thanks.

@bwiernik Yeah, thanks. Just discovered that "Blog" is iffy as well. Go to this webpage and save it. Then cite as Blog in Harvard Dublin City style and you get no link in Biblio. Cite it as Webpage and all is fine.. http://www.imp-dossier.eu

I forgot to ask this seemingly unimportant question. Why should you always unlink before submitting work? Is there going to be a problem if it's submitted "linked"? Is the viewer going to have a problem to view it? What is I export as PDF (still lin…

Okay, let's have a look at it systematically so I can understand it :). Let's say we want all the "Detailed Guidance...." documents (3) in Chapter 1. https://ec.europa.eu/health/documents/eudralex/vol-10_en Would you download each of them manually…

Hi @adamsmith Yes, the built-in style I was referring to was Elsevier. "Generally I'd stay away from "Document" as a category. It doesn't work well with most citation styles. " — But what should I use if the source is a document? "Every Zotero …

I tried it with the built in Harvard style too. The style I'm using is Dublin city Harvard

Just a side question. Is it a general practice to unlink anyway? Let's say I am done writing my report and want to submit my work. Should unlink it or is it okay to submit it as is.
