This is exactly what Zotero's word processor integration is for: https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_usage

Bumping this thread. What item type do others use for proposals?
-
Well, it's explained above. Collections really aren't folders, they're more like playlists. A song can be on lots of playlists. You don't want to delete a song (that destroys it everywhere), you want to remove it from a playlist. Look for the "remo…
-
Summary: I think it would help if the collections under a library weren't accompanied by folder icons. I think the visual metaphor of folders is contributing to the confusion here. Those of us old enough to have organized filesystems think of a fil…

Can confirm, working now on 7.0.0-beta.25+8a7f3645b (32-bit) Thank you!
-
Another user has now reported the same problem, here, and I provided a debug ID there. I guess that... wasn't considered helpful? I thought it would be better if those of us with the same problem were in the same thread, but... ok. Anyway, I just di…

In addition to updating Zotfile's settings, there is a setting in Zotero itself you must update. In Edit-->Settings-->Advanced-->Files and Folders you need to change the "Linked Attachment Base Directory."
-
@tim820 (or others)... how would you modify this .js to act only on the currently-selected items?
-
Click the word "author" and you'll see there are other options like editors, contributors, etc
-
I just hit this as well, trying to assemble a record for this article that is part of the "Ask the Cognitive Scientist" column: https://www.aft.org/ae/winter2022-2023/willingham
-
I have a tag, /tohere, which I know means "if you sort by date added, you've processed everything before this item"
-
I would use the presentation type and put "lecture" in the type field
-
That's what I do, but it makes it seem like my database has two different authors, one named Brenton Wiernik and one named Brenton [@bmwiernik] Wiernik. A small thing, but it bugs me

See Customizing Cites: Prefix and Suffix here: https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_usage
-
Update: I can type an uppercase R but not a lowercase r. All other letters seem to work.
-
Any update? I think this happens to me too, but I can't prove it right this second. But I'm pretty convinced I've seen today's items in all my feeds before.
-
I wanted to bump this thread. I have an HP x2 11 chromebook and get the error that the official chromebook installation instructions don't work for my architecture.
-
@bwiernik I just wanted to bump this to ask if this is an easy thing for you to do?
-
Thanks for the response, and I wonder if just ignoring this is best; as you say some journals don't follow it. But if I did try your technique, can you say more? I put "number: ar52" in Extra and nothing changed.
-
What if the URL is something like https://doi.org/10.1017/9781316823279.009, will that get automatically pulled into DOI as well?
-
I believe what it's doing is correct for APA. See here: https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/research_and_citation/apa_style/apa_formatting_and_style_guide/in_text_citations_author_authors.html

I find that sorting by "Date Added" (which you can add to the columns) is useful for reminding me which papers I added in a batch last night
-
Well, I tried again and I can't reproduce this error, so, never mind I guess? But I do notice that you can grab all the chapters as "book sections" but it doesn't grab the book itself. (I had to add by ISBN for that)
