Sure, you can send it to support@zotero.org, with a link to this thread. What software was used to create those drawings?
-
We are aware of the issue, and hopefully we could fix that later this year. Thanks for reporting.
-
Thanks for the screenshot. We will try to find a solution.

1) Do you mean for annotations that are added to a note? If so, then no, after the insertion they are no longer tied to the original annotation in the PDF. 1a) Annotation filtering by color or tag is already implemented in the latest Zotero PDF re…

Paragraph indentation didn't work very well in the old note editor. In the new editor this is not supported. This feature is more common for fully fledged word processors. Could you explain how indents could be useful for you?
-
2. I would like to be able to both highlight the text as an annotation AND add it to the note. Once the text has been highlighted, I'm not able to select sub-portions of highlighted text to add to the note. I find myself selecting something, adding …
-
Also, are there annotation shortcuts on the way? Ie. to switch between selection/navigation and text/area highlighting, etc. Do you mean you want to create annotations with a keyboard only? How do you imagine that could work?
-
This will be fixed in the next update. Thanks for reporting.

1) I get an error - D198747464 and below ouput- but the basic functions seem to work nonetheless. The issue might be caused by https://github.com/zotero/zotero/issues/2333

@mdsimants Could you make a screenshot?

@jhimmelreich Could you make a screenshot?

I guess you are talking about Zotero Beta PDF reader. If so, yes, it will be supported in future. (newer PDF.js versions do that out of the box)
-
Most likely yes – for existing PDF files it should import annotations with more precise page numbers.
-
Try the new Zotero Beta. It replaces ZotFile annotation extraction functionally with its own PDF reader and provides more precise page numbers.
-
@htemby Could you make a screenshot with the misaligned annotations? Also it would be helpful if you could send the same PDF file to support@zotero.org (and included a link to this thread).
-
@scholarium Could you create a new thread for that sync issue and explain how many annotations do you have approximately in a note that can't sync?
-
We should be able to fix that. Thanks for reporting.
-
It's exactly the same problem as here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/93949/beta-stacked-view-lower-display-does-not-scroll-tab-doesnt-help The item count label is just hidden.
-
Ok, I can reproduce the issue with a freshly created profile. After resizing item pane it works as expected. We'll fix this.
-
Yes, in this case it stops working, I can reproduce. We'll fix it.
-
This is not implemented yet, although is planned. For now you can do File → Save As and print the exported PDF with your default PDF viewer.
-
I can't reproduce the issue. Although if a comment is focused (or you click an annotation without a comment and the comment gets focused automatically) then 'h' and 's' won't work because you're typing in a comment. But if you think 'h' or 's' doesn…

Citations in Note Editor are only for preview and don't support any citation style or configuration options. As soon as a note is inserted into a word processor, citations work as expected.
-
Active annotations and citations in headings currently aren't planned, unless there would be a demand for that. Why exactly do you need those? Could you describe your workflow?
-
Active annotations and citations currently aren't supported in headings and some other blocks. But, I agree, it should at least preserve the text when converting into another block.
-
In both cases this is expected behavior. Although, yes, if you import existing note annotatios, the new note icon is bigger and can cover something, which is a little bit inconvenient.
-
@reimerth 1. There is currently some grey space on either side of my pdfs, about as wide as the scroll bar. Is this necessary? I prefer to maximize screen space on my little laptop. Are you using View → Zoom to Page Width? If so, the grey margins s…

There are Back/Forward options in Go menu or you can just press Alt + Arrow Left. Isn't that enough?
-
Yes, this isn't right. For now we'll make Cmd-F to work all the time when note editor is focused. Thanks for pointing this out.
-
Yes, it shouldn't be like that. We'll try to fix. Thanks for reporting.
