This doesn't happen in beta 56, thanks!
-
Right, thanks. I must be really tired today.
-
Manuscript would include Repository and Repository Location
-
OCR really should be sherlocked into Zotero
-
Ah, that's right. So this will not work with Zotero 7. That is a pity.
-
FYI: directions on how to set up OCR in Zotero: https://publish.obsidian.md/history-notes/04+OCR+in+Zotero
-
Thanks!
-
@dstillman ok, looking forward to these features, thanks!
-
No, that shouldn't be too big--I ocr'ed 300 page documents without a problem. Something else must be stalling it. Can you try another document?
-
@AndrewRRM this happened to me once, but I was never able to reproduce it again. How big is your document?
-
@eseila It works for me so far. The process can take a long time. You can click on "Show file" to see what's happening.

Cool, congratulations! Waiting to Better BibTex support to test: https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-better-bibtex/discussions/2458

Thanks!

@adamsmith Chicago requires citing time for social media posts. Are there plans to add time to CSL? I know I asked this before and you said currently there is no way to cite time, but it seems it should be possible in the future. See Chicago Manua…
-
@adamsmith, thanks! Another question: is there a way to cite time in CSL from data like "2022-07-26T15:22:41+00:00" (i.e. Date field data imported from an online source) or "2022-10-26 23:26:15" (Accessed field)? I am not sure if any styles require …

Yes, for me it would be #1

+1

me too, eagerly waiting!

Zotero Integration can now export Zotero 6 annotations directly. You do not need to download the pdf utility for that. It extracts item tags, but can't extract annotation tags yet. There is an open issue for that: https://github.com/mgmeyers/obsidia…
-
You can use Zotero Integration--it imports images from Zotero notes and annotations into Obsidian. https://github.com/mgmeyers/obsidian-zotero-integration
-
For those who want a more in-depth guide to using Zotero Integration to directly import Zotero 6 annotations to Obsidian, I have one here: https://publish.obsidian.md/history-notes/01+Notetaking+for+Historians This page has a template, and explains…

You are right--I now have all the plugins enabled and the error is gone. I am not sure what combination of actions makes it happen. I have the following plugins enabled: Zotero OCR, Zutilo, BetterBibtex, and MarkDBConnect. I use all of them regularl…
-
It was the Zotero OCR plugin. That's unfortunate. Sorry, should have checked the plugins first before asking.
-
Yes that's what I mean, but where? Here is the image of the menu--I don't see it, but maybe I'm just tired: http://elenarazlogova.org/wp-content/uploads/zoteroitemmenu.png (this item is in a saved search)
-
If you use Obsidian, check out Zotero Integration--you can create a template that only imports the link to the PDF annotation: https://github.com/mgmeyers/obsidian-zotero-integration https://forum.obsidian.md/t/zotero-desktop-connector-import-templa…
-
@dstillman Cool, thanks!

Just making a screenshot of the PDF, that was sent as an example, and using the native macOS image OCRing, gives me a good quality text. @martynas_b What is "the native macOS image OCRing"? Is it an app that comes with the Apple system? How does one…
-
Thanks! No, the updates have been happening fine, I think. It's for my own purposes: I edited the Chicago full-note style temporarily and want my edits to last a few days/weeks. If the style is updated only when a change is made to the master file…
-
Yes, I use letter for citing, with "email" in the type field, and it works great. Maybe email type should be just eliminated.
-
Well, the plugin I use (Zotero Integration) now exports annotations directly, so my problem is solved. Thanks for the explanation--I look forward to seeing how Zotero notetaking/writing setup will work when it's completed.
