Also, in the latest version the fields in the Advanced Search window don't expand when you expand the window.

Can't reproduce in the latest beta, so this must have been fixed--thanks! Or else it was related to Better BibTex since now Better BibTex doesn't work for me.
-
At this point, it makes more sense to use another app for timelines and link it to Zotero--Obsidian, for example.
-
Being able to search for a collection among the 100+ saved searches I have transformed my work in Zotero--thank you!
-
Thank you for adding filename to the search in the future--that would get me back to the functionality I need. And yes, you are right, that is definitely a better solution than the manual renaming of attachment titles. In practice, though, this jus…

It's doesn't "get changed" — when it's a standalone file, there's nothing else to call it. But yes, we're likely going to start changing the attachment title to just "PDF" once metadata retrieval is run and a parent item is created if the title stil…

You are telling me that the way I use Zotero is "confusing" (adamsmith) and "makes no sense" (dstillman). I am not responding to these comments. These are not logical points. They are just dismissive insults. If a user drags a PDF from the file sys…

@adamsmith All I am asking for is an OPTION to set Attachment file title according to the citation information, not to do that automatically on import. Currently the only way to change Attachment Title is by typing it manually, one attachment at a t…

Use cases for having an option to match file name and attachment title: 1. The list view then makes clear to the user how to search for the file name in Spotlight. It's true that from Zotero you just need to use "Show file" option. But if you switc…

I would like to second that "PDF Full Text" does not convey any useful information. I've been using "rename file title" to change the Attachment title and I would like that feature to be an option in Zotero 7. I don't want to see "PDF Full Text" any…

I would like the actual file name and the name in the list to be matched as well.
-
This doesn't happen in beta 56, thanks!
-
Right, thanks. I must be really tired today.
-
Manuscript would include Repository and Repository Location
-
OCR really should be sherlocked into Zotero
-
Ah, that's right. So this will not work with Zotero 7. That is a pity.

FYI: directions on how to set up OCR in Zotero: https://publish.obsidian.md/history-notes/04+OCR+in+Zotero

Thanks!
-
@dstillman ok, looking forward to these features, thanks!
-
No, that shouldn't be too big--I ocr'ed 300 page documents without a problem. Something else must be stalling it. Can you try another document?
-
@AndrewRRM this happened to me once, but I was never able to reproduce it again. How big is your document?
-
@eseila It works for me so far. The process can take a long time. You can click on "Show file" to see what's happening.

Cool, congratulations! Waiting to Better BibTex support to test: https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-better-bibtex/discussions/2458

Thanks!

@adamsmith Chicago requires citing time for social media posts. Are there plans to add time to CSL? I know I asked this before and you said currently there is no way to cite time, but it seems it should be possible in the future. See Chicago Manua…
-
@adamsmith, thanks! Another question: is there a way to cite time in CSL from data like "2022-07-26T15:22:41+00:00" (i.e. Date field data imported from an online source) or "2022-10-26 23:26:15" (Accessed field)? I am not sure if any styles require …

Yes, for me it would be #1

+1

me too, eagerly waiting!

Zotero Integration can now export Zotero 6 annotations directly. You do not need to download the pdf utility for that. It extracts item tags, but can't extract annotation tags yet. There is an open issue for that: https://github.com/mgmeyers/obsidia…
