This problem was resolved in Zotero 10 beta 4, all PDFs downloaded from the WebDAV server upon first start following the update. Thanks for the quick fix! (I had to work on restoring the main view to my taste, but I guess that is intentional.)

The app repeatedly failed to generate the report. Now it worked: D1762540720

It also failed when I did nothing, so just wanted to check.

The app froze when I wanted to view the Debug output https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZTjaE5ZVr5tigU6gWHCtPj8lMzOzfA4bFzV

Debug output is in an endless loop it seems. Increasing the number of Delay in cycles. Finally, ended with an error. saved as a text file here https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZAhaE5Z74CFaRUmeJkTvSEQTtxH9YXjKLmk In the meantime, I restarted …

Several restarting of TestFlight and switching the Auto update option on and off finally refreshed the available version. Also, 2.0.2 resolved the sync issue. Many thanks for the tip. (This version seems to ignore the system setting for font size th…

Let me know how to do that https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u2888205/q04djqhr5rhy9ifk5r1q.png

Most likely on the iPad (b398). I just tested with 4 different journals and all files were renamed. The difference with Nature journals is that the Safari plugin can't save the PDF with my institutional access, regardless of whether it was attempted…

I do apologize. It seems that I'm lagging behind in some aspects of the app's development. However, automatic renaming files is still not perfect: https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZLp9n5ZkvInsd2SnLfnCnj55TmM5QORxery Manual renaming with that…

Renaming doesn't seem to work on my end. Actually, as it looks, it stopped on the 23rd of January this year. Tried to change renaming parameters and it invokes a short list of to-be-changed items, but the vast majority of items remains unchanged. Th…

It's been the same way in previous versions, but is the period at the very end of the bibliography a must? Some environments where I paste them cannot get it that the period is not part of the full DOI link and the result is a dysfunctional link. I …

Many thanks for the quick fix! The beta that was just released seems to save items without PDFs fine.
-
I can confirm that the latest beta release fixed these bugs. Thanks again

No problem and thanks for the continued improvements.
-
Thanks @mvasilak I will check it out. I've been on betas for ages, both iOS and Windows.

When in the PDF view in Zotero, the file can be exported via the iOS share extension. It’s called “Export” in Zotero: top right corner on my iPad, see screenshot here https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZJiFvVZezrFkQRukQukYCoJAXzMOupKJrX7 When …

@Whelekwet Why would you want GoodReader to access your Zotero database? Any PDF can easily be exported directly to GoodReader from Zotero.
-
Also, the original problem I reported was that a newly created collection failed to populate on the iPad. The added 22 items only appeared after logging out and back in. This cannot be a WebDAV issue as basic item sync is done via Zotero servers as …

OK, sorry for hijacking the thread. I still believe that the problem was similar. The logins issue was reported by Zotero iOS as a problem with my Zotero account. It was not related to any issues with the WebDAV server (which I do experience from ti…

A Zotero error message (bottom left) said that I should log out from the account to fix the problem. It in fact did. So it was not a WebDAV issue. (You mean the OP? No, I just thought that my issue was closely related and didn’t want to open a new t…

It’s very weird, but refreshing the iOS app by pulling down the All Items list resulted in a Zotero login error (invalid username and password). I think I haven’t seen this for ages. Perhaps you can find something related to the collection sync issu…

There’s no report due to the specific issue. What I recognized (on latest iOS beta and desktop betas) was that creating a new collection and moving a few dozens of (old, synced) items on desktop doesn’t populate the folder in the iOS app. I can prov…

Just came to post this, now I confirm. Please find a screenshot here: https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code=XZeU46VZSYzFRx0WtRFFaLFfbIsz7bjLIOD7

Thanks, fix is confirmed. (As a side note, lately Zotero for iOS has shown improved sync speeds and less issues in general. So setting it up after the database import problem introduced above was a lot smaller nuisance than it used to be.)

@adamsmith Any paper in the Nature family of journals (saved from nature.com) behaves the same way. Here are links to the two latest in my library, but this has been the Zotero iOS behavior for months. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41385-022-0057…

Happy New Year! I’m glad to report that the latest beta solved the ScienceDirect PDF parsing issue. (An earlier version solved saving from CellPress journals.) Unfortunately, all title of Nature journals still incorporates the journal name, separate…

More sites with saving issues BioRxiv: nothing happens while the connector states “Saving with Highwire 2.0”

Currently saving works fine in the desktop app, but it further deteriorated in the iOS (iPad) app. I use the latest beta version on all devices. Sites affected: ScienceDirect: cannot save anything as the PDF can’t be located by the browser connector…

@michalrentka Following a Zotero update and an iPad OS update, I'm glad to report that the startup crash problem has been resolved. Thanks for your continued efforts.

Beyond the issues of not saving PDFs from a couple of popular journals/aggregators, there’s another issue: From SpringerNature sites the journal title is added to every saved item title. Example: The role of goblet cells and mucus in intestinal home…
